Olympus Eveready Case
The Olympus Eveready Case (Black) is a retro design form-fitted pebbled leather eveready case made to fit an Olympus E-P1 Pen Digital camera with 14-42mm lens or a Limited Edition E-P1 Pen Digital camera with a 17mm lens. The case has a removable cover that allows the camera to be used while in the case. It uses the shoulder strap supplied with the camera.

I am glad with it useful product. It is very well finished with a good leather quality. Mine has never pulled the lens cap off as happened with the other reviewer. I would recommend it as a very useful product to protect your e-p1.

Am really happy with this case... exactly what I needed to make the Pen as portable as I wanted it to be. The only counter-intuitive moment is snapping off the back, rather than the front, so that the case falls forward leaving me free to use the LCD screen. Otherwise great.

At this point, unfortunately, fitted cases for the E-P1 are few and far between (I actually don't know any others at all). I was excited about this one though, as it has the form factor I was looking for. Namely, I wanted to be able to "unhinge" a highly protective case while shooting.
Unfortunately, when you unsnap the case at the bottom, it usually pulls the lens cap off and then attacks the lens with the metal snap. If you manage to get the snap past the lens (not easy), the upper section doesn't unfold enough to stay open, and even if you hold it open, the viewfinder screen – required for use of the E-P1 – is hidden.
If you try to unsnap it the other way, by the two side snaps, the case is ungainly to unsheathe and then falls right off the single remaining snap.
Then when you take the whole upper section off (which requires much careful attention), the bottom half helpfullly stays confidently in place, but fully and stubbornly hides the memory card / battery compartment AND to the AV/data jacks. So to get your photos off the camera, you need to fully undress it.
The actual leather is nice, if basic, and the finish is solid enough. But I'll be getting a new case as soon as I find one.
