Cheapest new computer I could find. A bit slow but it's a value computer. Unfortunately, the hard drive failed 6 months after I bought it and corrupted the startup so had to restore computer. Make sure you backup! [...] out a computer about 1 month.

Comments about eMachines EL1320-01 Desktop Computer:
Purchased this system as a replacement for an old Pentium 4 machine. I was just looking for an inexpensive no frills PC.
The system started out ok, but after rebooting the machine for the 4th time for an update, nothing displayed on the screen. The system just continually beeped indicating a hardware failure.
This was my first eMachine purchase so this experience did not instill confidence in the quality of their systems. I know the machine is inexpensive, but I stil expect it to work.
B&H's customer server has been great. They're letting me return the unit, and I'm opting to upgrade to a different entry level machine: Hewlett-Packard Compaq Presario CQ4010F
$100 more, but better specs and hopefully will work out of the box. =)

Comments about eMachines EL1320-01 Desktop Computer:
We've had the computer for about a week, and we installed some open source software on it seems to work great. The one thing I wasn't prepared for was that our digital speakers that we had from a previous computer don't work with this one. I think it has something to do with the sound card, so we're thinking of upgrading that. Live the small size and quick loading times!
