The Dot Line Corporation's RS-RT03K/4CHS Wireless 4-Channel Flash Trigger Kit w/ Hot Shoe & Umbrella Mount fires any photographic flash unit from any camera that has a hot shoe or PC outlet. The transmitter has a standard hot shoe as well as a standard PC synch cable for cameras that do not have a hot shoe contact. It runs on a replaceable 12V battery (included), which is good for up to 20,000 firings.
The receiver has a PC outlet and a mono synch jack for studio flash units along with an adapter for 3.5mm synch flash units. It runs on two AAA batteries (not included) for up to 30,000 triggerings. Both the transmitter and receiver feature a stand-by mode that saves battery power. The wireless signal from the transmitter is encoded to help protect the unit from radio frequency interference, ensuring that your flash unit fires only when you want them to. A test button is included to fire the flash units without exposing the image. Range is up to 85 feet.

is very good, although I have not tried with two flash, outdoor use for wedding photos, models and portrait sessions. Sometimes he misses a shot, but I think it's because the flash is not ready. It's great to fire the flash placed behind the subject being photographed. The tripod grip system is rather weak, they could design something better and trembles when transported and it appears that the flash is going to fall ... and is dropped, especially in the careers of wedding photos.
Despite all this I am very happy with the kit, my partner and also has them too happy, not a bad buy at all, the operating range is very good, I have taken photos at 15 and 20 meters away from where they are devices located all successful ..... worth buying ... yes, just be careful when carrying the flash mounted on a tripod, you can drop the flash.

I was extremely excited to receive this product, especially as we had a our 2nd wedding coming up. We got the package, set it up, put our 430EX II on it, and immediately the contacts pulled away from the unit from the weight of the flash. We sent the item back, but they didn't send the replacement out soon enough for us to use it for the wedding. We ended up just buying and using a 10' cord and flash bracket for almost half the price from National Camera Exchange the DAY of the wedding, which worked flawlessly.
We just received the second trigger in the mail yesterday, and although it is the Series II, and it is made a little better, I just don't trust it to hold my flash up, or to function consistently enough to do weddings.
I should have known it would be too good to be true, but B&H handled both returns extremely well, so I don't regret trying.

Works great right out of box after adding batteries. 430exII fits snuggly and securely. No misfires. For the price works great. The construction isn't top of the line but neither is the price. But for the money better than I expected. Great for off camera lighting. Fits easily in backpack. Great buy. Will buy more very soon.

Exactly fit functionality I needed. The reciever hotshoe is too loose and if you don't take precautions, your flash may fall off. With a little gaffer tape it works fine. The loose fit is a flaw I'd recommend fixing in an upgrade, but does the trick.

Comments about RPS Lighting RS-RT03K/4CHS Wireless 4-Channel Flash Trigger Kit w/ Hot Shoe & Umbrella Mount:
For the price the unit rocks but it does have some really bad parts. As other have pointed out the flashes do not stay on the unit that good if you tilt the unit down the flash/flashes will fall off even if you have them on tight.
So if you buy this unit do one thing and Tape the flash in place plus the Umbrella hole is a bit loose too so be careful with that to.
If you are working on a small budget and need a wireless flash unit this is a great buy just remember to use tape.
Bottom line for me is I would recommend this to a friend that is working on a budget as the unit works great.

The reciever case broke at the small attachment screws holding the plastic case together the 1st time I tried it out. Very poor construction. I was very gentle with the unit. Only had my 430EX on it once. Luckily it broke when the flash was not on it or it might have fallen from the tripod. Don't buy this product.

It works just as you would expect. I used this product when I have limited space and want to use my SB-600 off my camera. I would have given it a higher rating but the plastic it is made of is a little flimsy and the hotshoe connections are very loose. It seems like my flash kind of hangs from it. But contact is still made and the flash fires consistently. I would recommend it, especially for the price.

I'm using this product with my Speedlite 580 EX II, in combination with Westcott speedlite softbox.
So far it's done it's job as a wireless transmitter, and it's built better (more solid) than a cactus transmitter) which is what I was using before it fell and broke.
The umbrella mount built in is a nice idea, but it doesn't have a screw to tighten the umbrella rod in place, so I was too scared to use it after seeing it wasn't that secure, and had to just double up with another umbrella mount anyways, which was kinda annoying.
Overall, I'm glad I have it because it got the job done, but there are certainly ways to improve on it.
Not a bad buy compared to a pocket wizard.

I honestly can't say anything bad about this unit! After purchasing the basic unit I then purchased two additional hot shoes. I use three flashes with this one trigger and I couldn't be happier.
It may be a little lightweight for some, but I ove it.

Bought these looking for a cheap entry into the Strobist-type photography. So far has been a very useful tool. I uses these on my Pentax k20d and they work well. No misfires.
