Vivitar Battery Grip for Canon EOS 40D and 50D
The Vivitar Battery Grip provides the power you need for the Canon EOS 40D and 50D SLR digital cameras. It adds to the power by using 2 BP-511A rechargeable, high-capacity batteries. In addition, the battery pack provides a vertical shutter release, that makes holding the camera in the vertical orientation as easy and secure as in the horizontal position.
The versatility of using the Battery Grip is three fold. Two BP-511A rechargeable batteries will allow you many hours of uninterrupted shooting. I purchased a battery grip for my 50D when I got my first camera. I liked it so much I decided to get one for my other 50D.
It does make the camera heavier. I've gotten used to the weight and don't think anything about the extra weight at all.
I"ve had the batteries (2, does not come with grip) last for about 4 weeks with minimal use.
You can't go wrong with this product. I'm very happy with it.
