The Epson Presenter has a lot of great features, but the one that makes you look twice is its built in DVD player. The DVD player is full-featured and even has Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound processors that offer an immersive audio image even if you're just using the 2 built-in 10W speakers. Of course you can use external speakers too.
To complement its sound output capabilities the Presenter has a microphone jack so you can narrate your presentations. (You supply the microphone.)
Epson didn't skimp on the projector either. It boasts 2500 ISO lumens at a 3000:1 contrast ratio. That's enough projection power to fill a medium to large room even if you can't present in movie theater darkness.
Versatility seems to have been the watchword of the Presenter's designers. In addition to 720p and 1080i high definition it can accept video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM international formats. The power supply is equally versatile. It can accept juice from 100-240VAC at 50/60 Hz.
The Presenter also features auto and manual keystone correction that can extend as far as ±30°.Its two USB inputs allow you to present directly from your computer or to display JPEG photos and listen to MP3 or WMA music. Not only is all this power and versatility available at a surprisingly affordable price, the Presenter is inexpensive to operate. Use it in Eco mode, and the life of Epson's bright and energy-efficient E-TORL lamp extends from a very respectable 4000 hours to a very uncommon 5000 hours. Fan noise drops from a low 33 dB to a whispering 29 dB.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
This is a bright, easy to use, VERY versatile projector. I bought it for a non-profit group of folks, many of whom are not tech savvy. The internal DVD player and computer input selections are perfect for them.
Unfortunately, the USB connection has some issues...I wish we could easily edit the slide presentations, but from what I can tell, it won't be possible. The easiest thing would have been for the projector to recognize QuickTime video (which anyone could save a presentation in) but it only sees DIVX - something Mac folks rarely have. Also, it doesn't seem possible to show slides on the USB drive and also use the audio-in cable at the same time. Maybe they will fix this in the future. But, this is a minor gripe as the majority of presentations will be on a computer or DVD.
The regular XVGA PowerPoint and Keynote presentations are awesome! I use a simple Y cable for stereo audio and the speakers do a great job. You can also use the included mic and mic cable to speak with your presentations.
DVD movies are bright, sound from the internal speakers excellent. I haven't set it up with our satellite TV yet, but I am sure it will look and sound just as nicely as it does with DVD and computer inputs.
The owners manual has items left out. For example, the manual says your projector will auto sync to whatever input is active, but I always had to click the input selector switch to the proper input for it to see the signal. No problem for me, but this is a very big deal to someone who has never set up a projector before. The manual is skimpy, but luckily the projector is very forgiving and easy. And, Epson gives you a FREE 800 number support with your own pin number for two years! I will give up a perfect manual for that service anytime.
If you will be traveling with your Presenter, it would be a good idea to get a hard case. The included soft case is fine for a projector that stays in the office, but certainly not hardy enough to protect it from hard knocks.
Our groups vary from as few as ten to as many as 100 in a medium sized room. This is a perfect and amazingly versatile projector for our use. I highly recommend it as an excellent value and solid piece of equipment.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
We bought this projector for use with our inflatable big screen that we use in the back yard on movie night. I was originally going for the previous model until I stumbled on the new and improved version (better resolution and 25% more lumens). Bottom line, the picture is bright and crisp and the built in DVD player and stereo work flawlessly. I would prefer a more powerful sound system, but that would probably just infuriate the neighbors anyway. I would highly recommend this unit to everyone.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
I was looking for a projector to play outdoor movies at our cabin. I was looking at both the moviemate 85 & powerlite projector. Went for the powerlite because the specs were almost identical but the price was less. It worked perfectly for us. Just took it out of the box, popped in a DVD and played it. We projected it onto a sheet and the kids (& parents) loved it. I was worried because we started the movies before it got dark but you could see the movie fine. It was awesome once it got really dark (of course). The speakers were loud enough and it came with a microphone too. I have no complaints at all. Super easy to use and a solid picture.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
I use it for watching DVD's so don't mind that it's a little bigger, and just LOVE how quiet it is. Sure, you can hear the fan, but it's not at all disturbing.
The built-in speaker is functional, but not so great - so I plug it into a speaker using the mini line out in the front - easy enough.
The neoprene bag that comes with it is nice.. external pockets for the power chord and remote. The unit has a built-in handle so the neoprene velcros around that (so you use the built-in handle).
I'm not gonna get into detail about the picture quality and adjustment controls except to say that it's really fine - no criticisms at all.

I purchased this product for both power point and dvd presentations to be shown in a large meeting room. The unit is very versatile. It can play DVD's or presentations sent to it from a laptop. It comes with a microphone and has 10W speakers with volume adjustment.
I have set it up and tested all the functions with my laptop. It works great. I can't wait to use it on an audience.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
This projector is wonderful. We purchased it for a small group study which has a dvd curriculum. The projector is easy to use, easy to move from home to home and has a great picture even when projected on a white stucco wall! The built in speaker has done fine. The fan is quiet and shut off is 2 seconds. What a bargain at B & H ... $200 cheaper than other chain stores. Did fine with a power point too. I have not tried using it with a TV yet but hope to try soon for sporting events etc.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
This projector is very well designed. I like that it is quite bright and automatically adjusts brightness based on ambient light. The sound quality is louder and clearer than you'd expect from the size of speakers. This is really the only projector I'll need for work and just bought a second with screen as it's that good.

I use this equipment for home business and it exceeds my expectations. Very nice being able to use a high quality projector without the need for a laptop, all the cables, etc. This is a super machine, very quite, great picture, good speakers for normal size conference room and simply worth the money.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
The picture is very bright. The built-in DVD players works well. I like how you push the Source button to have it search for sources. That is more convenient than having the projector keep cycling. Connection to a Dell laptop was very easy. Main downside was that the unit is too wide for my universal projector mount on my ceiling.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
I bought the Epson Powerlight Presenter because I was looking for a replacement for my MovieMate 30s. I was looking at the MovieMate 60, but the Presenter is basically an upgraded version of the 60. The Presenter has better resolution and higher lumens than the 60, and has an optical zoom for more placement flexibility. Presenter costs a bit more than the Moveimate 60, and is cheaper than the MovieMate 72, which has lower lumen output and lower contrast ratio. Compare the specs of the Presenter with the PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD - for a little more than the cost of the 705HD more you get a built-in progressive scan DVD player and speakers for movies on the go, your living room, or even outdoors.
Black levels aren't great on this projector, I think the black levels on my 30s were a bit better. But the 30s had an additional "Theater Black" mode (Presenter only has Theater mode). Still a great value, and with the bright light output, you don't have to have all the lights down to have a decent picture.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
I intend to use this projector to make Power Point and DVD presentations to groups of less than 100 people.
What most attracted me to this unit was it's versatility and ability to show DVD videos. The built in Mic input was also a plus.
It appears to have all that was represented in product features.
At this point, the only downside I can see was the price. It seemed a little overpriced for the additional features; ones that I might have been able to do without.

I use the projector for presentations everyweekend and occasionally on weekdays. I searched around and the price offered by B&H could not be beat. It's top quality at a great value. I'm very pleased with this purchase and have already recommended this projector to others.

Comments about Epson Powerlite Presenter Projector:
Bear in mind that I have never owned a projector...
I like watching movies at home on this projector and a white Elite Screens 100" screen. This projector does pretty well during the day and gets better as the room gets darker. I am 15' or so from the screen and it looks great to me. Certainly it is much better for watching movies than a "little" LCD TV.
Being a traveling engineering contractor, the built-in DVD player and speakers seemed like a good choice. I can also use it for periodic presentations at work so the wide-screen aspect ratio is great. Certainly it is larger than many of the projectors due to the DVD player but it works for me.
The sound output is fine for smaller rooms and it is nice to have the option for presentations.
For the money it seems like a good entry-level projector that will make most people happy, plus it has more flexibility to be used at work. I haven't had it too long so I cannot comment on lamp durability.
It is fun to own one of these projectors. I hadn't given them much thought until very recently and I am enjoying this purchase.
