Lexmark S405 Interpret Wireless All-In-One Printer
The Lexmark Interpret S405 All-In-One Wireless Inkjet Printer is an affordable printer, copier, scanner and fax that can be set up easily anywhere with its built-in wireless network capability. The S405 can produce black text at speeds up to 33 pages-per-minute and color prints at up to 30 pages-per-minute, plus it can output a 4 x 6" color photo in as fast as 24 seconds. It comes with a built-in 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for time-saving operations in large copy, scan and fax jobs. The Interpret also has a 100-sheet automatic sheet feeder and a 25-page output tray.
The Interpret S405 uses 4 individual Vizix Ink Cartridges that help deliver clear, colorful, detailed documents and photos while saving you money since only depleted cartridges need to replaced. This four-in-one supports printing without a computer with built-in memory card slots. It also has a PictBridge interface that enables printing directly from your digital camera.
Built into the S405 is a flatbed scanner and, with the ADF, it is easy to digitize documents in batches, keeping the workflow going. Included with the Interpret is business card scanning software so you can scan up to 8 business cards simultaneously and synchronize the data with popular contact management applications.

I'd give it 0 stars if the system would let me. This is the second Lexmark I have owned and for the second time in a row the printer arrived stuck in Demo mode. The first time a call to Lexmark took care of the problem, but this time Lexmark couldn't even tell me how to get it back to normal. Unfortunately when this model is in Demo mode, it will not allow you to configure it for wireless printing. On top of that there is no back access to the printer. If a paper jam occurs, you have to send the printer in for repair. This has to be the poorest design I have ever seen. For a company that is known for their business class solutions, their consumer line has been plagued with problems for me. If the first two items aren't enough to keep you from buying this, the setup is overcomplicated for both Mac and Windows platforms. Forget about getting this thing to work wirelessly. I could not ever get it to print even after following the troubleshooting steps. Amazingly enough this product's software has been the only software that has caused my Mac to freeze up. I will never purchase another Lexmark printer.
