The Induro Adventure AKB Tripod Kit includes a sturdy magnesium alloy tripod that extends to 4'8" and weighs only 2.6 lbs, a precision ballhead with a quick-release plate, and a carrying bag with a strap. The ballhead features single-action control that allows head rotation and camera position changes in a single motion. The center column is reversible for low-angle photography and the leg sections feature quick-lock action for swiftly raising and lowering the head. Adjustable leg angles with a locking mechanism provide stable support on uneven or rough surfaces. This is a full-featured tripod for a great price.

I'm a student photographer, and admit to having little experience with tripods. That being said, the AKB boasts features I will look for in all future tripod purchases. I spend little time in the studio, making terrain a constant factor in most of my shoots. This is the ideal tripod for spontaneous, quick and dirty photography. I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of features that were not included in the products description. Initially, I was drawn in by the price, but count myself lucky to have gotten such a great deal. The quick lock legs and the presence of bubble levels on both the base and plate, make the time from setup to first shot almost nonexistent. Add to that a lightweight frame that collapses into a size that can comfortably strap to my camera bag, but is also durable, I don't think there is a better choice for the price.

I use this with a 50D and a 28-70L lens, Ball will not hold it in portrait position. Gets some shake if there is any breeze, this could be caused by lens hood also. Use this for hiking and waterfall photos. I did not get to try it with any weight hanging from the center, but will try that next time to see if it helps.

bought this to use with my nikon d7000! Love it, a huge upgrade from the tripod I had. Well made and very strudy. I don't normally use a tripod, but now am using this one because of ease of use. so fast to set where you want it and one lever to tighten. my camera doesn't drift to a different angle even with a bigger lense on the camera. And the carry bag and tool kit are great. I really like that this one can be inverted, doing alot of macro I like to get close. I can even use this when I do wedding as it is light, fast to set, and the bag attaches nicely to my camera bag. Love this tripod! great buy if you are on a budjet.

This tripod is relatively light and seems like it will last for years. It's a great purchase if you're looking for a quality tripod (nothing cheap quality) that's relatively light but don't want to spend hundreds on the most expensive tripod in the market.

Took this on a trip to Yellowstone and couldn't have been more pleased. It's so light I barely noticed it was in my pack. I can't speak to how it would work w/a pro-sized body and big glass, but with a Nikon D90 and various mid-range zooms it was perfect.

I have not used it extensively but this is a great tripod.
Pros:
Light Weight
Small Size
Great Stability
Cons:
When I bought this tripod I did not realize I can lock horizontal or vertical motion. It has only one clamp which locks it completely. If you want to do panning with a tripod this is not the best option

Looked at MANY tripods. Got it for hiking, etc. Lightweight/compact. But is tall enuf and strong enuf to use at weddings/events. Securely holds Nikon D5000 with Batt pack, large flash, extender, multiple lenses, remote, etc. GREAT tripod for the size and price. Solid, quality construction. Bonus bag, strap.

Bought this product based on a few online reviews and have been impressed so far. I do not use it on a everyday basis and is good for my purpose.
It was easy to get started with this product. Very stable even in a pavement that is not even.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB Tripod Kit:
It is not a main tripod replacement, rather the AKB0 is best when weight and transportation is a concern. It is stable for a cheap, light, compact tripod. In addition, it comes with a few features that sets it above its competition. Some things I particularly like about this tripod is its load capacity vs. weight ratio, included carrying case and leveling bubbles. For these reasons alone, I would purchase over the Slik Sprint II

This thing has been with me to Dubai, India and back to the U.S. It's very light wait, compact and sturdy. It held up my D700 (with battery grip) and a 70-200mm with no problem. And the fact that it came with a carry case was a bonus (and I'm not talking about those cheap nylon ones; it's one of those well made high quality ones). There was enough room in the carrying case to hold some small knick knacks, like your keys, extra batteries, memory cards, etc.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB Tripod Kit:
It is a very good tripod in its price range. Very stable and has a sturdy feel to it. Being just 2.6 lb in weight it is light enough to carry along and can take upto 10.3 lb of load which is remarkable for a tripod at this price. Should be good for any DLSR. The bag that comes along is also very nice. Though I think the movement of the ballhead could be better. Overall a very good product.

Lives up to its name Adventure! I bought this tripod to keep in my rig as a back up and found that I liked it better then the one I was using! I have totally abused this tripod in the worst way and in some of the worst conditions and it has not even whimpered once! I have submersed it in mud, wedged it into trees, used it as a walking stick and fought of an angry elk and it still looks and works like new

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB Tripod Kit:
Great overall tripod. Very smooth ball head, awesome features (adjustable leg angles, reversible center colum, solid rubber feet) but the legs do not slide out very easily. Brand new out of the box, and I have to pull fairly hard for the legs to deploy. Great overall product - a must buy for anyone looking for a sturdy, affordable tripod. Also - awesome bag included!!

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB Tripod Kit:
I use this product for my DSLR and point and shoot cameras. My primary reasons for getting this model were: ball head, quick release plate, no braces connecting legs to center post, compact size, price. I am completely happy with the product which comes with a really nice, heavy duty, nylon carrying case w/tools.
