Comments about Induro CM34 Carbon 8X CM-Series 4-Section Monopod:
After testing out the monopod in my house after receiving it, I put it under my 400mm F/2.8 and my 300mm F/2.8 and it seemed stable and would work well and I thought I had a winner. I then put it on the bottom of my camera body with a wide angle lens attached to see how it work for reaching over players when huddling up and all seemed great. Then I went to remove the monopod from my camera and it wouldn't come off. When I finally was able to get the monopod off, it had ripped up the rubber on the bottom of the grip for my D700. I have already filed for a RMA and will probably not buy Induro products again without being able to see them first.

Comments about Induro CM34 Carbon 8X CM-Series 4-Section Monopod:
I have the Induro tripod, so the next logical step was to get the monopod from the same manufacturer, so that it all works together. I was hoping to use the ballhead from my tripod by switching it over to the monopod as needed, but changing the ballhead is more than a notion, so I broke down and bought a second ballhead. Now, with a quick release plate on each camera body, I can quickly switch from tripod to monopod and back with ease. The monopod legs are easy to extend, it fits into my luggage, and after a recent use at the beach, it cleans easily if sand gets into it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the screw on top, which I could have screwed directly into the base of the camera, eliminating the need for a ballhead, was too large, so I had to get either a screw adapter or another ballhead. I'm glad I went for the ballhead, because it makes it possible to use the monopod in portrait mode as well as landscape.

Comments about Induro CM34 Carbon 8X CM-Series 4-Section Monopod:
I purchased this to use with my Nikon D3s along with a Nikon 300 f2.8 vrll to use at sporting events along with some nature shots. Unfortunately I hadn't seen too many reviews on Induro especially the CM34. What I had heard was Induro was a cheaper (in price) product similar to Gitzo. I own a Gitzo tripod and would not own anything but as it has stood the test of time. Not to mention the investment I have in gear however I can honestly say that I am pleasantly surprise by the product in the way it has performed(to date) and the basic feel and similarity to the Gitzo brand without the Gitzo price. I would highly recommend the CM34 to anyone.
