I use this filter on my 18-55 mm Nikkor lens and it works great. I immediately saw a difference in color when using this filter. The skies are a little bluer and the greens on plants and trees are a lot greener. Overall, I noticed more vivid colors while using this and it also works wonderfully for lens protection. You can clean it with a lens cloth or pen just like a lens.
I haven't found anything that is not good about it yet.
This filter is excellent quality.

Gets the job done
I have used the product mostly as a protective layer for the lens. In this capacity it has served me well. I can't really see any difference in the quality of my pictures though....Read complete review

Bought this in conjunction with a 50-mm lens. IT protects the lens and filters the UV. Fits tightly and doesn't get loose. Good heavy-duty construction.

Comments about Hoya 52mm UV(0) Haze Glass Filter:
To start off, the filter is one of the most cost effective ways to keep your lens from getting dust particles in it. Cheap insurance, simple clean the filter oppossed to touch the lens itself, and if the filter is damaged all you need to do is replace the fitler and not send out the lens to get fixed. Built very strong out of metal and real glass, I give two thumbs for quality. I do not really have anything bad to say about it, I am quite pleased, and will be purchasing more for the rest of the lenses that I have.

I bought this filter with a new lens and and put it on the moment I unwrapped the lens. I love not having to worry about getting the glass dirty or scratched. Inexpensive and worth every penny.

Comments about Hoya 52mm UV(0) Haze Glass Filter:
Hoya is a great brand and this does what it's supposed to do. However, I recently attended a Canon workshop full of Pro photographers and none of them used a UV filter. If they wanted to protect their lens they used a lens hood. In the day of digital cameras I'm not sure UV filters are really required anymore. I still use mine to protect the lens but I take it off when I'm shooting.

I keep this filter on my lens continuously to protect the lens element from damage an scratches. It doesn't negatively affect the images, and does eliminate some haze in outdoor shots, although not as dramaticaly as you would expect.
