Like the last poster, I was introduced to Portabrace in film school and haven't looked back since. I shoot a lot of corporate/industrial work and often have to fly all over the country. So I wanted a bag/case that would fit all or most my gear, protect it, and still be something I could bring on the plane as carry-on luggage and this bag does it all.
What I keep in it: Panasonic AF100, 4 different lenses with a diameter of 72mm each with their own padded slots (had to get the extra boards/pads), two wireless lav kits, one ME66, shock mount, 2 extra can batteries, charger/ac kit, 3 25ft XLR cables, lens cleaning kit, Opteka shoulder mount, cam remote, SDHC/XC card reader and card holder and a few misc cables for monitering. Thats a lot of stuff in one bag. Everything is secure and nothing is just tossed in because ...there's that much room.
Only drawback is ... you'll probably need the extra inserts and some kind of memory card holder.

I am an amateur occasional videographer. Recently bought a 2nd Cannon XHA1. I searched [...] for a soft bag for this camera. [...] I decided to go to B&H to buy a brand new one. This is my first Porta Brace bag. Before this I have never heard of Porta Brace. The bag arrived. I was immediately impressed by the construction of this bag, strong fabrics, thick and sturdy padding. The pockets have plenty room for me to carry all my necessary accesories. I feel secured to carry my camera in it. The maker of the bag signed a white tab in one of the pocket with the birthday (I assume) of this bag, [...]. What a persoanl touch. I almost felt like I want to drive up to the manufacturing plant and personally shake the hands of the lady who made my bag.I always believe you get what you pay for. Porta Brace make bags that I wouldn't mind pay for it again and again. And I did.

I was introduced to Portabrace products over 20 years ago when I was in film school and have chosen them time & again ever since. My CAR-2 bag has room for my DVCam, it's various goodies and sound gear (shotgun w/sock!) too. I couldn't be happier.
