NEC NP110 DLP SVGA 2200 Lumens Projector
Actual appearance may vary

The NEC NP110 is a low priced yet high powered projector that's as useful in the living room as it is in the conference room. It can project high definition signals in the 720p and 1080i formats and the NTSC, PAL and SECAM TV standards. Its 100 to 200 V AC 50/60 Hz power supply is also ready for the world. As is its 21 language onscreen display (OSD).

The NP110 is so ecologically conscious it even has a carbon savings meter that calculates the positive effects of operating the projector in ECO Mode, which is encouraged by an optional message at startup. ECO mode lowers light output somewhat, slows the fan and saves you money.

This projector is people friendly too. Its input panel is clearly labeled and color coded. And it enables you to include the hard of hearing members of your audience by displaying Closed Captioning from program sources that provide it. CC also comes in handy to help people whose native language isn't English.

The NP215 sports a 0.55" DLP chip with BrilliantColor. This chip increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent. And it processes six different primary colors rather than the usual three. What's more, projectors powered by DLP light engines require no filters that have to be cleaned and replaced periodically.

2200 Lumens and a 2000:1 Contrast Ratio With SVGA Resolution
That's projection power to spare for medium sized living rooms, conference rooms and lecture halls even when ambient light can't be totally controlled. Full SVGA resolution (800 by 600) will synch with higher resolution computers.
Texas Instruments 0.55" DMD DLP Panel With BrilliantColor
The panel is where the image is formed in a projector. Texas Instruments is generally acknowledged as the maker of the finest panels. You'll find their Digital Micromirror Display-Digital Light Processing technology in the top projectors of many brands. It's not hard to understand why. BrilliantColor increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent over DLP projectors without it. And in addition to red green and blue, its spectrum includes their complements: cyan, magenta and yellow. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be cleaned and replaced.
Quick Starrt And Shutdown Save you Time and Money.
Quick start (three to four seconds) lets you begin presenting in seconds while quick shutdown (immediate power off with no cooling required after shutdown) ensures efficient energy usage.
ECO Mode Technology
ECO Mode technology increases lamp life up to 5000 hours, while lowering power consumption. Auto Power On starts the projector when a signal is detectd from a computer via the RGB (15-pin) input connector. Power management enables the projector to automatically turn off when no incoming signal is detected from any of the inputs. A carbon savings meter calculates the positive effects of operating the projector in ECO Mode, which is encouraged by an optional message at startup. A green ECO Mode button on the remote control makes the switch easy.
You're In Control of Your Presentation
Plug and Play setup and operation optimizes images displayed from computers and video sources but you stay in charge. A ten-step image magnification tool with location control allows you to zoom in on key information. AV mute and video image freeze allows you to control the presentation and focus audience attention. Eight built-in wall color correction presets provide for adaptive color tone correction when you don't have a screen to project on. You can fine tune the image with color temperature, brightness and contrast adjustments too.
Closed Captioning Includes Your Whole Audience
This projector can display closed captioning from sources that provide it. CC comes in handy not only for the hard of hearing but also for those learning English as a foreign language. And it can help you get your message across in noisy environments too.
Worldwide Versatility
With a power supply that can accept 100 - 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz and compliance with the NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL-M, N, B, D, G, H, I and SECAM video standards there aren't many cities on Earth where this projector won't work. It also syncs up with VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA, WXGA+, SXGA, SXGA+ and UXGA computer signals and of course it can project in 720p and 1080i high definition.
Security Measures Protect Your Investment
The NP110 includes a password protection feature that ensures only authorized people use the projector. There's also a Kensington slot through which you can run a cable fastened to a larger object to physically secure it. There's also keyword protection, and a cabinet control pnael lock.

Comments about NEC NP110 DLP SVGA 2200 Lumens Projector:

Used primarily for business presentations several times per week.

Works really well in moderate illumination level rooms as well as projectors at twice the price.

The only drawback perhaps is that it does not come with a case. Some may object to the size if it has to be transported frequently.

I love how clear the image is on this projection, and how huge the projected image is - 72+ diagonal. I used my laptop and played some movies for a party I held in my backyard. My friends and I enjoyed the product I highly recommend this!

I used the NP110 at the Jaffa Sport Show in
Altoona, Pennsylvania to present fishing seminars
with PowerPoint presentation. Though the room was
long and narrow, the projector shown clear and
focused on a standard size screen for all in the
room. This is a great projector for a low price!

Comments about NEC NP110 DLP SVGA 2200 Lumens Projector:

Clean looking, has all of the features I was looking for at a great price. The only thing I was not totally happy about was the long throw from the stock lens. I work with numerous brands - Infocus, Sharp, Acer, and NEC. This specific NEC has a really long throw so to get a 7' x 7' screen filled you need to put this camera about 14' back. Not so with other brands.

Comments about NEC NP110 DLP SVGA 2200 Lumens Projector:

I use this projector primarily at church for movie nights, video game nights, computer classes, and the occasional multimedia injection to worship service and meetings.

This projector does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does have everything we are likely to need in a lightweight package. Easy, intuitive setup and operation make it usable by most anyone. Best of all, it is very bright and super sharp and pretty quiet.

Is there a downside? If you want component video or HDMI inputs, you should pay for them. (This will accept component video with an adapter, and it works.) If you want double the brightness, you should pay for it. If you had $3000 - $5000 dollars more to spend on a projector, you wouldn't be reading this review. Go ahead, buy it. You'll be glad you did.
