The Pearstone Fuzzy Windbuster is made of an artificial rabbit fur material for maximum protection against wind noise. The Fuzzy Windbuster slips over windscreens for added protection and measures 7" (17.8 cm), making it an ideal solution for microphones such as the Rode NTG-2, Sennheiser ME66, and Audio-Technica AT-897.

I bought two of these for an outdoor shoot in the park where audio was critical, and I was very impressed. We fit them over the cheap foam windscreens that came with our shotguns (the kind that only work up to about 3 mph). One size fits all, although it takes a little squeezing and pushing to get them on, they do fit well and seal with velcro. We had gusts that felt like about 20 mph, and there wasn't a hint of wind noise recorded. They allow voice to pass through fairly well -- I didn't notice any impact on voice quality, at least for conversation.
I'm not sure if this would work in a 30 mph wind, but it's a great alternative if, like me, you can't afford a blimp system for every microphone.

I wish it would attach easier. Getting it off and on is a pain. For the price, it isn't bad.

I bought this windbuster for my Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic and so far it does exactly what it is designed to do, and that is to limit wind noise. It does this very well. My only complaint is that the little "hair" fibers on the windbuster seem to far out easily. I'm concerned that over extended use that too much of the "hair" could fall out and impede its performance but I won't know that until it happens.

This product does exactly what it is supposed to, although it is a pain to put on and it sheds some of the fur the first time, it is worth it for the wind protection. Definitely a good investment if you are shooting outside.

I used the Windbuster in my Rode shotgun microphone for a recording session in a reserve. The day was particularly windy and I thought that even with the windscreen, maybe there would be wind noise but, for my surprise, it worked! For the price I paid and the quality, it's a most!

I took this on a shoot to a construction site in January. I did not personally use it, but the boom op loved it. If you're in the field and need quality sound, you'll need one.

I put this wind jammer on my shotgun microphone the first time out on a boat on the ocean doing a duck hunt. And it worked great! I could not believe how it stopped the wind noise. This was a steal for the money. If you do any out door filming, this wind jammer is a must.

I bought this Fuzzy Windjammer to reduce wind noise, which can be considerable here in the San Francisco Bay Area, with my AZDEN ECZ-990 Shotgun Mic. It attaches with Velcro and easily fits over the existing foam wind screen while providing considerable further reduction in wind noise without a corresponding reduction in sound pick up. I needed to add 1" spacers in the microphone clamp to prevent it from partly blocking the lens a low zoom, about $2 at the local hardware store. It folds flat and easily fits in my camera bag. Overall I am very pleased. My thanks to B&H for suggesting this item.

Fits relatively good over the Rhode shotgun Microphone that I am using on a Canon EOS 60D DSLR. Is 30% cheaper than the rhode accesory so it was a goot buy. Used it in a windy situation. No buffeting, no windnoise whatsoever with still very clear pickup. No difference in sound when it is on, at leas what I could tell.

Not as good as a blimp, but very effective for the price. Cuts out most wind noises and protects the delicate diaphragm from stray gusts.

I use this on a Rode VideoMic. My first test was recording on a boat in high wind... this windjammer silenced all wind sounds... exceeded my expectations greatly!

If you don't have a deadcat, or any type of wind breaker for your mic, you will be getting some terrible results.
Especially if you are recording outdoors, this windjammer is essential. Why buy a pro-quality shotgun mic and not give it the best chance to capture that crystal clear audio you are after?
Get one to go with your shotgun now. This version is a tad cheaper but fits right over your foamie you already have on your mic.

We recently did an outdoor wedding on a very windy day. The windjammer did a good job of signifcantly reducing the wind noice. We use a Seinheiser ME 66. It was a tight fit.

It works good. The problem I had is that it is too big for my mic. [...] It is too big if I want to put it on board my camera.
