The Apple Wireless Keyboard is an elegantly designed input device that is sure to turn heads. It features a compact QWERTY layout (minus the numeric keypad) that takes up 24% less space than standard desktop keyboards. It boasts a wireless Bluetooth interface, dedicated OS X function keys, and an ultra-thin anodized aluminum design. The keys themselves are the low-profile variety, almost identical in feel and function to those found on Apple notebook computers.
- The keyboard features a wireless Bluetooth interface. Bluetooth is built into almost all Macs by default, and allows you to use wireless devices without the need for a special adapter. Two AA batteries are included to power the keyboard
- The keyboard's ultra-thin design and anodized aluminum finish combine in a striking convergence of industrial design. The keyboard will perfectly complement the iMac, Mac Pro, or MacBook Pro. Of course, you can also use it with the MacBook and Mac mini
- Dedicated OS X function keys take the place of the rarely-utilized row of "F" keys at the top of the keyboard. You'll gain one-touch access to such convenient OS X features as screen brightness, volume, disc eject, play/pause, fast-forward, rewind, Exposé, and the Dashboard
- An intelligent power management system conserves battery life. The keyboard automatically powers down when not in use, turning back on the instant that you start typing. You can manually turn it off via a convenient on/off switch when you know you'll be away from your computer for a long period of time

I received mine with the iMac I purchased. This is after all an Apple product, and as such you should expect it to be very polished and well designed. What I was most surprised by was even though it is very thin and sleek, is also very sturdy. The whole body is made of Aluminum so it is incredibly solid. I tend to have a heavy hand when typing. At first the thin chiclet style keys took a little time getting used to and I was typing very softly. Hardly any force is required. I have to say that I have never had a keyboard that has felt as nice as this. It feels so much more solid then any plastic PC keyboard. Soon before I knew it was back to my old heavy handed typing ways. It feels great and responds quick thanks to the Bluetooth Technology. You'll love it. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is that Apple does not offer it with a Ten Key Numeric wireless edition for online banking and accounting purposes. Though the Wired Numeric version I intend to purchase does offer 2 USB ports, which for an iMac or Mac Mini with limited USB ports it can be a real plus.

This is an incredible keyboard, while it works. Which for me was about a year. Other's haven't been so lucky. Currently, I have no idea why it drops connection randomly every few minutes. The rather pathetic fix for a dead wireless keyboard is to roll up a ball of aluminum foil and drop it in the battery compartment. I actually tried this, didn't fix the connection issue.
Apple shows no interest in fixing the issues with this keyboard.

This keyboard is compact with a small footprint, but is too cramped and becomes uncomfortable after typing for long periods of time. If the overall length were longer and the key pads spaced out more (or larger key pads) this would be a really great keyboard. So far, this is the only complaint I have about my new iMac i5.

This keyboard looks like a piece of art and is just perfect for it's designed function. I wanted a keyboard to go with my iPad for writing email and other wordier activities than filling in crossword puzzles or browsing the web. The size is just right - light and easy to carry and pack/ big enough to be easy to type on. Fantastically stiff keyboard with little flex in its frame. Makes a perfect iPad companion or wireless keyboard for your desktop. I have had one for my desktop for 2 years and love it and just bought another for my new iPad. Batteries typically last for a few months (2 AA) and in OSX the keyboard will report when it gets below a certain level. There are a few things to watch out for:
Apple keyboards get dirty/discolored over time due to white keys. There is NO on/off switch (which can be problematic if you are traveling with on in a bag, unless you feel like taking in and out the batteries every time). Bluetooth can still be a pain to deal with (if you are dual booting, let windows recognize the keyboard first).
Otherwise I love it, buy one and be happy.
