The Wired Mouse from Apple is an elegant, ergonomic companion for your computer. The sleek design features touch-sensitive buttons that respond to touch, without mechanical clicking necessary. In place of a scroll-wheel, a scroll-ball allows you to scroll 360° around documents and webpages, giving you complete browsing freedom. Force-sensitive side buttons can be set to quickly activate frequently-used accessibility features like Expose and Dashboard. This aesthetic device is Apple's answer to the traditional mouse.

This would be the best mouse I've ever used, but Apple flubbed it and made it with a mechanical trackball that gets paralyzed by gunk, and is impossible to clean without surgery. Don't believe the cleaning advice, including Apple's, that says you can restore it with external cleaning. This wil keep it going just a little longer. It's a ridiculously, insultingly flawed design, mostly because it is so bad, yet so close to perfection otherwise. This mouse infuriates me. I've gone through three, and am now trying to figure out what to switch to.

Comments about Apple Wired Mouse:
It got really old trying to clean our 5 year old mouse - you know - rolling it, blowing in it - I even air basted it from my shop air compressor a few times in the last year. It's nice having a new, easy to use mouse again!

Comments about Apple Wired Mouse:
I very much regret switching from PC to IMAC thanks to continuous mouse problems since the changeover a year ago. I purchased the wired mouse because of multiple problems with the wireless, and with a non-Apple mouse. This mouse at least stays connected, but srolls unevenly and requires a pad for even minimal performance. Frequently while scrolling to the left, for example, it jumps completely off the page to the right, or vice versa. Never had a mouse problem with a pc, so I blame Apple technology.

I ordered a lot of this to replace PC style mouse for preschool classroom. It's relatively smaller and easier for kids. it also eliminates the confusion caused by two-bottom mouse, but you need to set up the system to accept both bottoms as primary bottom.

Comments about Apple Wired Mouse:
Nice product, typical of all Apple products! Needed a wired mouse as fed up with losing bluetooth connection with previous wireless model but do find the wire a bit of a pain - not a problem particular to Apple though - which would happen with all wired products. Looks good, nice feel.

When my Wired mouse broke when it fell to the floor, I bought a Magic Mouse. Not my cup of tea! Went back to the original and couldn't be happier!

Comments about Apple Wired Mouse:
I purchased this to back-up my wireless mouse because, it's always running out of batteries. It works great!I was also motivated by the rumor that all new Mac's will be delivered only with wireless mice and keyboards. Short of buying stock in battery companies, this is a must have item!
