The 320GB Little Disk Portable Hard Drive from LaCie is a portable hard drive in a housing designed by Sam Hecht. The drive features an interface that allows it to be connected and powered by FireWire-800, FireWire-400, or USB 2.0, a rotation speed of 5400rpm, an 8MB data buffer, and burst data transfer rates of up to 41MB/sec. All of this is contained in a small package, making the drive an excellent storage solution for users on the move.

I have recently replaced 3 external IDE drives with these LaCie. They work. They are quiet. They don't need external power. They are tiny, about the size of a deck of cards. My first was refurbished one from LaCie. I can't tell them apart. I'm a happy camper. I'm using them on a MacBook Pro. Two on Firewire400 & one on Firewire800.

con_ didnt like the fact that if you need to use on a PC and a MAC your limited to the amount storage.I use a pc more but still use a Mac. I would like to have had more than 32GB of space set aside for that purpose out of 320GB when I do choose to use for MAC storage.
