Since most of us use the Gopro camera during intensive potentially damaging activities, the first time you scratch the housing lens is when you realize the Lens Replacement Kit is an essential part of your GoPro kit. Gave it a 4 out of 5 because it's a bit pricey for two tiny pieces. It's a good idea to regularly check your lens for splashes or dirt and always check the housing lens if the camera impacts a branch, gravel or the ground. Even the tiniest scratch can botch your footage.
Not too difficult to change out in the field - though best to familiarize yourself beforehand and bring the instructions. bhphotovideo.com dependable to deal with.

2 lens are great. 1 for now. 1 for spare. Didn't need the 6 screws, 2 rubber gasket and cheapo screwdriver. Would prefer to buy replacement lens separate, maybe a dozen or half dozen so the 700hp sand cars blasting and pitting my lens could be tamed. The kit is great, but I'll have a huge supply of kit stuff after I replace the lens 4-5 times, which I will.

I tend to film alot of moving action shots with the camera and have scratched a number of lenses. I believe this is my third Replacement kit in just 6 months. Very easy to replace, and relatively cheap. If you film action sports that take place on pavement, buy a set.
I've yet to install one improperly, but i think it's a good idea to test the housing to be waterproof without the camera inside, once you replace a lens.
Better to be safe then sorry.

This something you'll need for GoPro if you use it in dirty or muddy conditions. The lens on the housing can scratch pretty easy, so this unit is almost mandatory for the GoPro housing. It is easy to replace, provided screw driver is a big plus.

I dropped my GoPro housing on my tile floor before I ever used it, and wouldn't you know I chipped the lens on the housing. I am glad they sell just replacement lenses instead of me having to buy an entirely new housing. I did read another review that said they stripped the screws trying to use the small screw driver included, but I used a longer phillips head with a bigger handle and had no problems. Great value for the money and something everyone should have for their GoPro cameras as backup incase you sratch or chip the lens.
