Comments about Contour Lens Kit:
It is easy to use and it appears to be perfect for the Contour gps cameras. The Contour Roam uses a deeper lens ring and a smaller diameter lens. I used the new lens ring in order to fit the larger lens, the only problem is the lens ring doesn't screw on as far as the original one and the set screw hole is too far in to use. It does work, it's just different for the Roam. I thought they all used the same lens , but the Roam is different. It still is a good solution.

It is a nice upgrade if one wants to use filters with the 37mm or 42mm ring adapters. Easy job to do if you need a new lens One screw that holds the then lens ring then unscrew ring put your new lens and/or lens filter ring on put screw back in and your done like a min job! 3 lens, standard lens ring, 37mm lens ring, 42mm lens ring, 2 new screws, screw driver and case to carry it all in.

Comments about Contour Lens Kit:
I got this ahead of time for that time when I'll need it. Great price! Comes with everything you need to replace your lens or ring. It even has a extra ring that allows you to use 37mm filters.

Comments about Contour Lens Kit:
This is a gret product for addition of a neutral density filter for use in skiing and snow and ice mountaineering.
I have three (or four I guess) helmet cams- two VIO cams and now two Contour HDs. The VIO SCOUT (analogue cam) works well in snow but the POV 1.5 has a totally washed out exposure. To use the VIO POV in the bright light of a high mountain snowfield, I was able to fashion a neutral density filter from a 25 mm loose filter plugged into a cut-away VIO POV lens cap (Can't claim credit for the idea). Although it works, it was difficult to cut the cap just right without getting any vignetting, difficult to clean, and looks kind of make-shift (since it is).
The Contour is perfect for this sort of shooting. This lens kit set allows attachment of either a standard 37 mm or standard 43 mm filter. I get no vignetting with a relatively inexpensive 37 mm ND filter set (Tiffen)and the 0.6 or 0.9 filter allows for perfect exposure on snow without wash-out. I also added a snap-on lens cap which is superior and more secure to the stock Contour rubber cap. The overall look is clean and easy to keep dust and smudge free. I leave a clear UV filter on for normal lighting conditions.
Addition of the filter adapter increases the profile somewhat so it won't fit into the Contour hard shell case.
