The Amphibious Scope GX from Vixen is designed for underwater observation and investigation tasks that involve water tanks, boat hulls, bottom structures, fishing areas, sea farms, or any other aqueous environment. The GX scope can also be used for terrestrial periscopal viewing.

When immersed in water, the GX magnifies the scene by 1.33x, whereas on land it produces unity magnification of 1.0x. The GX's FOV is also contingent upon its viewing environment; 45° on land, 35° underwater. This clever waterproof optic measures 0.9"/2.4 cm in diameter and 40"/101 cm in length.

Turning the GX's tube changes the scope's viewing orientation from 90° to straight-through. In straight-through mode the image is reversed - the 90° angled view will be inverted.
