Because of the shape, fit & material, this case provides better protection and easier access than any other camera case I've seen. The S90 is just little bigger than the ELPH series and really won't fit in a 3rd party sub-compact camera case. So you have to go with a 'medium' case that is a bit more than this camera requires. The PSC-900 is the perfect custom fit for the S90. Sure you can't even carry an extra SD card in this case, but that compact minimalist size is the appeal. It fits horizontally on you belt rather than vertically, so it seems to be even less intrusive and cumbersome than a 'pouch' case. The magnetic flap is very secure and faster access than any zipper. IMHO, this is one of the most elegant and functional accessories Canon offers. My S90 comes with me much more now that I have this case.

While able to carry our new S95, this case was originally designed to enclose the thicker S90, therefore ends up being a tad bulkier than necessary when housing the slimmer S90. The case, while stated to be genuine leather, has a cardboard-like feel and it's unpadded design leaves one to feel that the camera will have very little impact protection. There is virtually no weather protection as well. For over $25, I think Canon could have come up with something better, and we are currently researching other case options for our S95.

This case looks great and offers a nice, vintage feel with the genuine leather exterior and soft suede interior. Unfortunately, the case does not connect to the camera or camera strap at all so every time you take your camera out to take a picture, you have to find a place to put the case. Not very practical in that sense, especially considering it is designed to work with a neck or wrist strap, which is typically used by those who want their cameras close and readily available. By the time you get the camera out and finish fumbling with the case, you've lost the shot.

If you've gone shopping for a camera case to fit your S95, you already know the compact cases are too small and the larger cases are too big. This one fits like a glove, and the hard shell gives your camera extra protection the others won't. I really wanted to find something cheaper, but I'm glad I went with this case--it's worth the money.

First I thought [$] for a little carrying case?? Canon must be crazy. Once I got it from BH Photo I have to say the little case is a must for anyone owning Canon S95. It is not too big or loose like some other reviews explained. It is made for S90 but I find it fit perfect even for S95. So go ahead get one you will be happy.

This is a really great case for the canon s95. I use it so that my camera won't get scratched when I throw it into my bag or purse. It has a snug fit for the camera and it has a hole where the lens sticks out. It is also magnetic which is good. It has a belt loop but I never use that, but I guess you could loop it on your belt or a bag. It's also made of leather which gives it a quality feel.
