Comments about Sony VGP-BKB1 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard:
I bought this keyboard as my everyday keyboard for software development use. I wanted it to feel as similar to my laptop keyboard as possible (an HP Elitebook), and this was the best fit around in that regard. The chiclet-style keys have the same feel as those on my HP and are spaced similarly.
The main drawback seems to be with regards to typing too fast when holding down the Shift key. When I attempt to make smiley-face emotions (ie :)) the bracket keystroke is often not submitted. It only works if I slow myself down slightly, which can be a bit annoying.

Comments about Sony VGP-BKB1 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard:
In combination with an IOGear Micro USB Dongle, I purchased this keyboard from the Sony store yesterday.
I have to say, I am extremely impressed by the feel of these keys as well as how quickly the keyboard
jumps back to attention when I come back after it has been sleeping. I did a great deal of research when
hunting down a keyboard. My criteria was as such:
1) Bluetooth (because I didn't want too many dongles in my PC)
2) Chiclet style/slim and even "mac like" keyboard"
3) Full Size (for recording studio PC that I use is on)
4) Stylish
5) Solid build and sturdy, (for my newly built custom studio PC)
This Sony wireless keyboard fit all of these criteria and then some. They will tell you at the Sony store that
it only works for a Sony computer or a PS3. But I saw online that One person was using it with an HP All-In-One
touchscreen computer. I also read mixed reviews about it (as you can see here).
This is the reason I bought it at the Sony store for full price instead of online, just in case I had to take it
back. As soon as I drove back to work which is right by the Mall (Vienna, VA -- Tyson's Corner Sony Store), I
tested the keyboard out on my iPhone. This is when I knew that it should be fine on studio PC when I got home.
Here are my specs just in case if you wanted to ensure maximum compatibility (I was hoping someone would have done
this for me during my research):
1) Intel Core i7 2600 3.4 GHz
2) 8 GB DDR 3 RAM
3) Windows 7 64 Bit
4) 60 GB SSD Hard Drive - Patriot Pyro
5) I TB Western Digital Caviar Black 7200 RPM/64 MB Cache
6) IOGEAR Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter with Low Power Consumption (GBU421W6)
- One final note that I would like to add is that this keyboard DOES NOT have any significant problems jumping
back to attention after going to sleep. I just came back to it after many hours of non-use and it instantly
allowed me to start typing again. I have read that many people are not having such luck, I wonder if it may
be related to their Bluetooth dongle or low hardware specs....
Anyway, I think this is a superb addition to my studio setup and would recommend this keyboard to anyone looking
for a PC keyboard that has the "MAC like" style and appeal (or even "SONY like").
+1 for buying this again if need be.....

Keyboards are always subjective but this one is very nice. The keys are spaced perfectly- are somewhat on the "soft' side without a lot of spring back- I did have to get used to it but after I have used it for a few weeks I love it and wont use any other.

Comments about Sony VGP-BKB1 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard:
it's got a slim, clean design. there's nothing excessive about it; it does what it's made to do. it's a sturdy wireless keyboard that rarely loses a connection. but it can be a better keyboard if the wake-up times were quicker. i'd still say it's most definitely worth the buy.

I use this product with my all-in-one HP to keep cabling at a minimum on our kitchen table/my home office. This keyboard is small, sleek and very nice compared to everything else on the market. It was the only thing I could find that approached Apple form factor and usability. I absolutely need a key pad, so the Apple Bluetooth wasn't for me. I can't think of anything that's not great about it. Worked right out of the box and has some lovely features (the computer sleep button) that I am really enjoying.

I use this product to work in conjunction with my Sony laptop computer model VPCF12AFM running Windows 7 Professional. Although, after spending time with tech support, Sony concluded that the bluetooth drivers do not support the professional version of Windows 7. However, after hanging up the phone with them, it began working like a charm. I love the touch and feel of this keyboard. It has a feel much like a standard Mac keyboard but with a 10 key which is crucial for an accountant like me. Make sure you have a functioning wireless network adapter.

Comments about Sony VGP-BKB1 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard:
As mentioned in the Review Headline, the VGP-BKB1 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard is "Typically Sony". Design and Build finish are excellent. Ergonomics are "close enough" to those found on the Sony laptop I'm using.
My being able to set the laptop on a nearby music stand near my lounge chair and type makes for a relaxed and productive work environment. Having a lower profiled item in my lap than the laptop seems to also be appreciated by my large grey cat, who insists on "helping me" while curled up in my lap when I'm trying to use my laptop.
Installing the software needed to connect the two devices took longer than I would have though needed, considering that both the laptop and Bluetooth wireless keyboard were made by Sony.

This keyboard is a great match to a VAIO or any computer you want to control wirelessly. Bluetooth connecting was very easy (Windows 7 64-Bit). I frequently take my laptop out of range, and when I come back it reconnects with no hassle.
Very minor complaint: occasionally a press will register twice...but the amount of times you will backspace for this problem vs. your own errors is pretty negligible.
I read some reviews that said the light indicators were confusing...I don't know what's so difficult about it.
Only real con is the price, but I hope it'll be worth it over the life of the keyboard.
Also, I haven't tested this for gaming but I would imagine you'd want a wired keyboard for that anyway.

I searched high and low for this in Canada and could not get it. I found this company (B&H) on the net and was able to have it sent to me via UPS. I am really happy I searched and would not settle for any other then the Sony keyboard for my Sony Laptop computer. Sweet looking key board with a great touch. Quiet typing and light weight. Connected really easy with the blue tooth and ready to use. Goes to sleep when not in use and wakes up with the touch of a finger. YEHA. I hooked up my laptop to my 40 inch Sony TV and now can use it as a monitor from my lounging chair. Works great from way across the room. Thanks Sony for another great product. I would totally recommend this keyboard if your in the market. Price was the best from this company (B&H)also. You won't be undersold or disappointed.

Comments about Sony VGP-BKB1 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard:
I use the keyboard to turn my laptop into a desktop at home and at the office. (With the use of a large screen monitors as well) The sony keyboard is thin, great looking, and the keys respond very well. You would never know it isnt wired. The slight spacings between the keys making typing easier. I have found nothing about it that I havent liked. I also use a far cheaper rocketfish bluetooth keyboard at home, but certainly is an inferior product.
