The VMC110L Telescope from Vixen is a 1035mm f/9.4 Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 110mm/4.33" aperture. Its advanced and modified optical path features an open-tube design that places a small corrector plate in front of the secondary mirror - this helps to eliminate dewing problems while speeding up the cooling down period. The VMC110L sports a built-in flip mirror assembly that allows the simultaneous installation of two eyepieces or an eyepiece and an imaging system for astrophotography. Its small size and lightweight construction greatly enhance its grab-and-go capabilities.
The Porta II mount is a solid altazimuth platform with a 20 lb capacity. Its versatile and rugged construction provides smooth and accurate tracking of celestial and terrestrial objects. Vixen's geared drive system has no locks or clutches, and the flexible slow motion handles minimize vibrations for sharp clear viewing.
This VMC110L package comes ready to be assembled with a built-in tube ring and dovetail plate for direct attachment to the Porta II mount and its accompanying tripod. A 1.0x red-dot finderscope and mounting bracket, along with an NPL 25mm/41x Plossl eyepiece are also included.
