The Litepanels LP-MPRODVA-C is a battery adapter that fits on the back of the MicroPro professional LED array. The adapter plate fits Canon lithium-ion batteries on the rear of the panel, giving users the ability to attach camera batteries normally used with their camcorder.

This is def a nice addition to your gear if you don't already have one of these. It's way better than buying new batteries every time. I can also make good use of all those batteries I had for my GL2s I sold. ONE TIP! DONT DROP IT! It's cheap plastic and the weight of the battery alone will snap one of the little plastic tabs that hold the battery on. That's the main reason for my 3 star rating. This is my second one.

I wish I had purchased this sooner. No more need for a bajillion, yes, a "bajillion," AA batteries. I now have one battery for the Litepanel and one battery for my camera-- I only have to charge them at night and then I am ready to roll the entire next day.

Using an on-camera Litepanels light without a camera battery adapter plate is just a waste of AA batteries and your precious time in my opinion. The adapter fits easily on the litepanel and reduces bulk and worry. Camera batteries last so much longer and gives me one less thing to have to carry around.
