Brother's MFC-9010CN Digital All-In-One Printer With Networking is a printer, scanner and copier all rolled into one, with small offices or small workgroups in mind. The MFC-9010CN has a built-in wired Ethernet interface that enables sharing of the device with multiple computers. It is propelled by Brother's laser-like digital LED technology, which helps yield B & W or color documents and photos with resolutions up to 600 x 2400dpi at speeds up to 17 pages per minute. The unit's high resolution results in detailed images with brilliant colors and rich black text.
For busy offices, the MFC-9010CN is equipped with an adjustable 250-sheet paper tray and a 35-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for copying, scanning or faxing multiple pages up to legal size. It also has a straight-through bypass which accommodates heavier stock papers and envelopes. The flatbed scanner will accommodate letter and A4 size documents for copying or scanning, and it has a hinged flatbed cover to enable copying from bound documents such as books or magazines.
It uses individual toner cartridges which are easy to replace and will save money because only individual cartridges need to be replaced when depleted. The MFC-9010CN combines outstanding all around office multi-functionality into a single, space saving device (16.9 x 19.2 x 15.7").

Comments about Brother MFC-9010CN Digital Color All-In-One With Networking:
This is a great color all in one at a great price. Plus it has networking so I just plug it into my router and all the computers can share it.
The only con is that I have not been able to get scanning to work on the network. I have to plug the printer into the USB port to make scanning work.

We have a small office and need a printer which can be used via the network and is fast. This printer meets all the needs!
The pages are clean and crisp for both color and black/white. The printer is also very fast.
There are no complaints, it works as advertised.

Comments about Brother MFC-9010CN Digital Color All-In-One With Networking:
My noisy, six-year-old Dell started mangling paper, so I decided it was time to get a new printer. For years I had coveted a laser printer, but the cost was prohibitive. While the Brother MFC 9010CN is a digital printer, it uses toner, and that is the feature that interests me. I want to get the best image transfers from printed page to polymer clay, and this machine fulfills that role well. In addition, it is quick and without all the shuddering and banging the old Dell went through to produce any sort of document or picture. I've only been using the Brother for a few weeks, but as the review headline says, so far so good. I haven't printed any envelopes, labels or anything on thicker than standard paper, so I don't know how awkward the back output tray will be, but I do know I'll have to move the printer around in order to utilize it. I wish I'd been made aware of this aspect before I bought the machine. It might have influenced my decision to buy. Also, I wasn't aware of that there were so many types of paper that shouldn't be used: paper that has a coated or chemical finish, or is highly textured, or is too smooth or shiny. These paper types could damage the Brother. That damage is not covered under warranty. Thus, if I want to do iron-on transfers, this machine evidently isn't the one to use. Luckily, I fixed my old Dell clunker. It will have to deal with these more challenging paper types. Again, this information would have been good to know before I made the purchase. I probably would have bought the Brother still, but I would have felt the company had been more forthcoming with their consumers.

only had this printer for about a week and a half so can't comment on ink consumption, but it's working great so far. it was easy to install, it prints fast, and the quality is good. the quality of printing and copying is not as good as my old canon inkjet (which was expected). the only drawback is that i like having two paper trays to alternate between paper types and this only has one....there is a slot where you can feed one sheet at a time in addition to the regular tray, but you have to manually feed the paper at exactly the right moment, otherwise it jams.

Pro:
Quiet
Fast (as advertised 17ppm)
Tray feed and manual feed
Connects to computer with USB or LAN. (Needs to be installed separately for each connection type)
Con:
Can't scan directly from Corel
Creases envelopes a little
Has to cool down occasionally. However, this is my first laser printer so I don't know if this is usual.
Isn't so great at fine graphic diagonal lines
Had to fiddle around with the print settings to get the same printouts as with my previous printer, Brother MFC-420CN

Comments about Brother MFC-9010CN Digital Color All-In-One With Networking:
This printer is used for home office use with low to moderate number of copies. The printer was easy to set up and use. All copies have been clear and concise unlike my old ink jet printer. An all-in-one copy/printer is larger and will require more space than a single function ink jet printer. Making two sided copies is somewhat inconvient but the price of the printer and it's clear copies out weighs this inconvience.
