The Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer with Wireless Networking comes with built-in wireless 802.11b/g and 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet (wired) connections to enable printer sharing with multiple computers in small offices or small workgroups. It is also equipped with USB 2.0 and PictBridge interfaces to allow direct printing from compatible PictBridge enabled digital cameras and USB memory devices. The HL-3070CW incorporates laser-like color LED technology to yield B&W and color documents with crisp black text and rich colors at speeds up to 17 pages-per-minute with resolutions up to 600 x 2400dpi.
This digital color printer comes with a BR-Script driver which gives you greater control over a document's text and graphics compared to a non-PostScript driver. It provides a generous paper input capacity with a standard 250-sheet input tray, and it is equipped for printing on heavier stock paper and envelopes via a straight-in manual bypass slot. The HL-3070CW incorporates four individual toner cartridges and it features a Toner Save mode to reduce the amount of toner used.
Brother's HL-3070CW printer is great for printing color brochures, presentations and other important business documents quickly and affordably. In addition, its stylish, space-saving design (16.1 x 18.3 x 9.8") fits into almost any workspace.

I'm a typical American college educated, professional, middle class, with 2 and a half kids, dog... you get the picture. I don't have a lot of frivolous money to thow away. BUT. But I demand great quality from what ever I buy in life. Cut to the chase.... I needed a good network printer for the family. Did a lot of research and the Brother 3070cw caught my eye. So I ordered it... from B&H Photo, an examplary online source.
It was so easy to setup, my dog could've done it. And then comes the best part. I print my first document. I'm blown away! Didn't expect the incredible quality that came out of this nodescript machine. And yes, this is a very boring looking printer. That's my only complaint. I'm sure a company like Brother which can put such good technology inside could afford to spend on a good product designer to produce something better looking than this dull printer.
My recommendation? BUY IT NOW!! Yes, it's that good.

Comments about Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer With Wireless Networking:
I have had a Brother HL-1440 B&W Laser for a few years - flawless. I just setup this HL-3070CW on my WLAN and for a PC and a Mac in 5 minutes and it prints great.
I do wish the footprint were a few inches smaller. I expect solid performance for the forseeable future.

Comments about Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer With Wireless Networking:
I'm glad I bought this Brother laser printer. I make tees and sweats and everyone suggested Okidata printers. One lone voice suggested the Brother 3070 and it's been perfect. It is quick, vibrant colors and wireless (a huge selling point for me). The only thing that I would change on it is the front loading tray. It is only two inches deep and I would prefer one that extends. It's a minor inconvenience and one that I can deal with. I would buy it again -- and I would definitely shop at B&H for it. I happened to catch a great sale price! However, I would buy this at full price if I had to do it again.

Comments about Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer With Wireless Networking:
This is my first color laser. Just tired of the high cost of ink jets. The build quality seems good. The print quality is great. I first set it up on a MacBook. Make sure you follow the install instructions very carefully. I messed up one step and I had to end up doing a factory reset. I also set up the printer on Windows XP and Windows 7. The installer was a little quirky, but I got it working on all of our platforms. I also own the Brother HL-5250DN and it has performed well.

First I'd like to say what a pleasure it was ordering from B&H; the Customer Service Rep was just so pleasant.
As for the printer, what can I say...it's a Brother Printer and not my first. They are reliable and print beautifully. I personally was unable to connect it.......not a major surprise to me since I learn technology via the seat of my pants, but I called in help and it's up and running. Great Printer, great price, great service.

Comments about Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer With Wireless Networking:
I've gotten to the point where I was tired of wires. Wires everywhere for everything. I started getting everything wireless. When my printer needed replacing I decided to opt for a Color Laser printer, since most of what I did, didn't need any special coloring.
Well this printer works great. And the color is good as well.
It's a bit larger than what I wanted (by 0.5 inches) so I couldn't put it where my old printer was, but I knew that before I purchased.
Setup was pretty easy, and once I got the first computer linked up properly, the rest of the computers in the house just fell in line. Bonus, nobody has to move a laptop or copy a file to the main computer just to print.

Great product. Used for freshman college assignments, notes, etc. I'm not a computer geek, so took a little while to setup wireless. But not a reflection of the the product.
Colors are great. Use grayscale to save color toner. No problem.

Comments about Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer With Wireless Networking:
Only had it a week or two, low use. Good price for printer. Will have to see how much toner costs. Easy setup. Driver and wireless setup was quick and no problems with XP, vista, and Win7 64 bit and Cisco/Linksys E3000 router.. Its somewhat big and heavy but not unreasonable for a color laser, as 4 toners must fit inside. Not very quiet but not too noisy. Lots of blogs and reviews about faulty 'toner out' indicators but they also show how to reset this.
Print quality excellent for graphics, so-so for photos, but I didn't buy it for that purpose, so thats not really a negative.

I bought this printer because i needed a wireless one and it work flawlessly with my set-up. I still use my other Brother printer which is a monochrome and fax capability for other purposes. I share this printer with my kids who needs color printing for school work and brother never disappoints!

This is an easy to use printer, good quality and connect to networks very easily. Negatives are the toner usage is dramatically higher than the mfg states. In addition, when the toner gets low you have very little left and/or time to replace.

I bought this printer a few weeks ago and was really amazed at the quality of printing for the price. For a laser printer, it's a no brainer. I haven't tried printing photos yet, but certainly will soon.

Comments about Brother HL-3070CW Digital Color Printer With Wireless Networking:
I set this up with a wireless network (Quest DSL wireless Router). Never tried this before, but the included CD made it easy. Initially set up using an iMac and everything went exactly as the directions indicated. I then added a second computer to the network, a Windows 7 Sony Vaio. Again with the included CD (Windows 7 in this case) everything went as indicated. The differences between the installations was with the IMac you install both the WiFi router drivers and the printer drivers, while the second computer only requires installation of the Win 7 printer drivers. In both cases it simply worked the first time I tried to print to it.
The quality of the color is good as is the speed. We also have a Samsung CLP315 color laser and the printing is much slower on that. As far as longevity, who knows? My only other Bother laser lasted for years without a hitch and still probably works, if I want to set it up. I have confidence this will also.

I had a B/W laser HL-2170W from Brother for the last 2 years. So I knew the setup for HL-3070CW would be similar and it was. Within minutes I had it setup and printing. Powers up fast from dormant state and powers down after printing. Printouts are vibrant. Good printer for my kids homework and projects.
