I am a network marketer. I spent countless hours on my computer. I am constantly involved in chats, webinars and Skype conferences. In my business a professional presentation is a must. Which is why I love my new Eyeball 2.0 USB Webcam with the built in Microphone. The picture quality far outshines my dinky built in webcam on my laptop and the sound quality is extremely clear. Using it for the first time made me realize that I was missing a valuable tool in my marketing arsenal. The Eyeball is compact and can be used in various situations. I recommend this unit.

Bought mostly for it's audio clarity for temporary voice over recording on video projects, but liked having camera, too, for iChat and Skype.It's an awesome design. The components are very maneuverable, and fit on top of my monitor well. I thought the audio recording I did with it sounded good, too.The video, however, was terrible...terrible...terrible. Extremely grainy/dirty video and super slow frame rate even under well lit situations. Also, Plug n Play programing reversed my systems input level settings so that when I'd set my system to maximuminput, it would actually make the microphone less sensitive. When I'd set my system's input level to minimum sensitivity, it would over-modulate the microphone.Skype automates the level input, and because Skype couldn't hear me it would raise the system's input level's which actually made me inaudible.Overall, the item's probably defective, but after Blue's lacklust service support attempt and an eventually RMA 3 Business days later,[...], I decided to return the product to B&H Photo.Kudos to B&H[...].Mac OS 10.6.42.93 GHz Dual Quad Intel Xeon

Looks terrific and sounds great - no distorion even at high volumes, however since it does not come with any drivers or software, it requires an OS of Windows XP Service Pack 2 or higher for such's Hardware Compatibility List (HCL = drivers pre-loaded into the operating system). Google Chat and other "capture" type programs worked fine with it. Wish it came with a program much like Labtec's "Quick Capture" and "Motion Detector" feature, but the hardware quality is extraordinary.

We use these cams to video conference between offices via iChat and it works very well. Easy plug and play setup, good mounting design and excellent microphone. The only drawback is that it requires very bright light to get a good frame rate. But otherwise very good for the price.

On my 2.53 Mac Mini n Apple 0S 10.6, the sound is great but the picture is much grainier than than Apple's built in cameras (only other kind I've used) and the frame rate is low and I have found no way to adjust it. The color gets a little weird sometimes too...
You may have better results in older Mac OS versions or on a PC . Otherwise, it's a nice looking product that is easy to position.
