In a bind, i needed two lav mics for a job, so i grabbed one of these, and i must say it was great. Its not everyday one can say a minijack mic sounds good, but this little guy does. It has a quite long cable, and it records a very clear signal. the switch housing is a bit plastic-y for my taste but the sound quality on a minijack mic, for the price. can't complain...

Great buy to get better sound quality than your built-in mic.

This littel inexpensive mic is good for recording interviews, cable is long enough to be away from subject and use 50mm or 70mm lens, even with a 1.6 crop sensor camera I think is ideal for beginners because the price wont break your bank and you can start doing interviews in a more professional way.

Used this while creating video tutorials, purchased seperate mic's previously but always encountered an echo and other common issues. This device provided an enexpensive alternative. The long cord added ease of use even though it is not wireless.

I purchased one a few weeks ago just to try, and when I tested it and heard how nice the sound was, I immediately ordered another one to have with me. I now have a backup for my first one or a second lav to use with a dedicated mixer.
Don't forget that each one is stereo, so if you have the need for just one good mic, you can rely on it filling both channels without the need of a stereo adapter or Y cable.
Comes with battery, phone plug adapter, 20 foot cord, mic clip, and foam screen.

Im a DSLR filmmaker and this mic is pretty good for the money.Good pick up, (but does pick up a good amount of back ground noise) Its biggest down seize is the high shelf noise (high frequency hum) which is a bit of a pain to be honest. But for a [$]mic, you cant complain very much. Not a good piece of equipment for a super polished job, but good for 90% of the rest of shoots. hence the 4 stars.the 20ft cord is great. Plenty of room to work with. The design of the 'on/off' switch is a little weird because of a odd amount of cord before and after it.

I am a landscape photographer using this product to record videos in the field. I connected this to a Zoom 1 audio device. This lavalier is cheap, easy to use, and works well.

I am able to film my puppets and clip the microphone on my shirt for hands free recording.

The mic itself is well made and picks up my voice really well without any background noise. I like this mic and would purchase another one.

I purchased this product for my camera so i could have better vocal audio to work with for interviews, and I was very impressed with the sound quality for such a good price. I would say that this microphone competes with far more expensive models of lav mics. Even if you are on a tight budget you can afford this product.

I am very please with this purchase and plan on getting another one.

Impressed with the value of this little mic for such a low price!

I was looking for a wired lav mic that would plug directly into a Nikon D7000 via a mini plug, and this is what I found. We're using the mic to record "talking head" footage and promotional videos for websites within a little studio. We have not tested the mic outside or with wind noise, but for our indoor purposes it's great.

The length of the cord is perfect for our use - plenty of length to reach the camera and to move around. The mic pics up great audio - I'm really impressed by the quality for the price. We are able to position the lav clip low on the subject's shirt so that we can't even see it within the shots we're doing, and it still sounds great.

Overall very happy!

the sound quality is not very good. But if you are not doing serious recording, it is hard to beat the price. The cord can be a plus or minus depending on what you do.

I bought this wired lav to replace one I'd purchased that only records in mono. Since I'm forgetful and always seem to cut my green screen video without changing the clip to "Mono as Stereo," I finally decided I needed something to record in stereo and started doing some research.

For <$30, this is a GREAT lav. The sound is smooth, and I speak pretty loudly. There's very little (if any) peaking, which is a godsend when editing my weekly show. I've had great results with little cons. The only thing I wish it featured was a light for the battery level, but that's fairly inconsequential.

This is an excellent mic for at-home studios and single broadcasters.

The micropohone works great. It's clear and catches the smallest sound. Shipping was excellent. Being in Hawaii, it usually takes awhile before we received products from the mainland. But B&H shipped out the item immediately and I received it right on time without delay.

I think the biggest problem with the lavalier is that there is no indicator to show that it is on and working. If connected to something with headphone out or sound level indicator than the mic is good enough for the price. You just have to hide the cable.

Looked at other more costly possibilities, this is fine for a lavalier, batteries are affordable (10-$2.19 on the net), audio was very clean on headphones, stereo output.
Cable was very long, clip is appropriate on the small size. Came with a stereo 1/4 " adapter.
To be used for weddings videos church readings, with Rode VXLR adapter, SKP 100 G3 trasmitter.

I bought this product for making product videos on a tight budget (no cash for expensive shotgun or wireless lav mics, and no assistant to hold a boom).
I watched a video made using this mic, and took a chance. It is an amazing mic for the money. If you use it properly, it performs like a very expensive mic (almost like my SM58). The wire is inconvenient, but it is worth the work arounds.

For [$] its a perfect choice! If you have an H4n... And I have an H4n. If I didn't then I wouldn't buy this because of wiring would be annoying and recording on the camera... The sound is OKAY, but good for the price. The wire is too long for my taste while using an H4n, but long would be good for a person without an H4n. We should have an option to have long or short wire and make the standard size of the wire shorter and include an extension. Check my video that shows the product off - [@]

I use these with a Tascam DR-40 for recording interview audio for my HDSLR video.

They were nice and cheap and produce a pretty good sound, but I'm concerned with how fast the small hearing-aid batteries will last.

I purchased this mic on a whim in response to a B&H email flyer. I noticed it looked almost identical to the ATR3350, but was half the cost. I wanted to have a second mic for interviews with similar sonic characteristics.

I wasn't disappointed. This is a dead ringer for the Audio-Technica product. I cannot tell the difference in the build or sound quality.

Comparing between the two, this mic has a plastic phantom power unit, and the ATR has a machined metal one. Also this mic has a stereo 1/8" plug, while the ATR has a mono plug. I actually prefer to use the stereo plug, because then the same sound goes to both channels of a stereo recorder without an adapter: one less piece of gear to lose in the field.

This mic is unbalanced, so there is some residual noise in the recorded signal. It's not noticeable when recording people talking at normal volume levels, but is noticeable with critical listening when recording people whispering.

This is a great mic for video interviews, primarily because the long twenty foot cord can be run behind set to a recorder off-camera. Not having wireless does improve sound quality.

Five stars because it's the same quality as the ATR3350 at half the cost.
