Slips off mic easily

Just bought two of these mics to go with our DSLR video capable cameras to enhance audio capture. Problem was the windscreens easily slip off the mic, which I lost the original one on my first assignment. Bought replacements and promptly strapped it down with a small zip tie. So far so good. Does an OK job of shielding wind but, as I'm told, no windscreen will completely keep wind noise from garbling the audio.
