Comments about Kata CB-400 Camcorder Bag:
I use this bag for a Canon XH-A1s and all of it's accessories. The main compartment has straps to keep the camera secure and has a lens pillow. The divider is adjustable and it took little time to configure it. I still have a lot more space in the main compartment that I'm not using. Once the top has been unzipped and opened, two zipped compartments in the top allow for more storage. I have a shotgun mic, cables and mount on one side. On the other, I placed my remotes, mini-DVs, filters, other cables and the battery charger. There is still more room for future gear. On each end are additional recessed pockets for storage. They appear small when looking at them but they are recessed and are much larger than I anticipated.
I am impressed by the strength of the sidewalls and it holds up well to the abuse I've put it through. The weather-resistant zippers can drag a little but they are solid and seem well-constructed. The interior is made of a soft loop fabric that the velcro divider secures to. The outside material seems very durable and the bottom of the bag has 3 rows of stand-offs that raise it about an inch off the ground when sitting flat. Kata offers a well-made shoulder strap but I tend to use the wheeled dolly due to the weight of the equipment stored inside and the large size of the bag. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and would encourage everyone who needs to carry a lot of gear to consider this.

Comments about Kata CB-400 Camcorder Bag:
As a freelance videographer, I usually work as a one man crew. The size and multi-pocket style of the KATA bag allows me to carry everything I need for my jobs. There is ample room for my field audio gear as well as extra batteries and accessories. The top flap of the bag is actually a long, double zippered padded pocket with a matching flip out pocket on the other side: storage and more storage. All zippers are heavy and secure. There are clip style hooks at both ends, which I just discovered work to secure the bag when it is in my vehicle. No more hearing my gear flying around the back of my truck. I use a Canon XL-H1 and find that the bag is just right for the camera. My extra wide lens fits in its case at one end of the bag. Keep in mind, despite the shoulder straps comfort and usability, this is not an over he shoulder bag. I purchased the detachable trolley system and have been pleased that I did so. The info on the web for the bag was minimal, so buying it came with some risk. I am happy to report that several weeks use have left me more than pleased with the bag.

Comments about Kata CB-400 Camcorder Bag:
Like a lot of us I've had to re-think my entire packing strategy since investing in a DSLR for Hi-Def use. Photo solutions don't really work, since I'm very often needing to carry my camera around in a follow-focus rig, and video solutions just haven't caught up.
Enter the CB-400!
Room for my 5D Mark II inside the rails, all my lenses, the second-system sound, monitoring solution, and all the batteries and chargers I need to make this system work. I've flown with it, carried it on, dragged the thing around shoots and hotels and rental cars and couldn't possibly be happier.
Durable, rugged, and padded enough to protect my whole DSLR rig.
Couldn't be happier!
