The RF Link AVS-5808-RX Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video Receiver is a robust and durable industrial indoor AV device capable of handling a long range of transmission. The 5.8 GHz frequency band allows for up to 4.3 miles (7km) when combined with a high-gain antenna and amplifier. The entire unit is compact and can be fit into a variety of places, for both convenient and permanent mounting.

- Low profile metal housing design with convenient slots for permanent mounting.
- Convenient front panel frequency selection, video gain adjustment, power switch and indicator.
- Capable in receiving stereo audio.
- Operating voltage from 8-32VDC with 90% efficient low noise switching voltage regulators.
- Range can reach 4.3 miles (7km) with combination of high gain antenna and RF-Link's 1W amplifier (APW-1000).

It worked in the same room, and maybe 100' away, intermittently with 3 walls in between, but I needed 120' and 4 walls. No joy.Otherwise, the hardware looked good, but if you are other than line of sight, don't expect a robust signal.
