Planon X05 DocuPen Xtreme Color Scanner
The pen-sized Planon DocuPen Xtreme X05 Color Scanner delivers high quality scans of documents or photos up to 8" wide at up to 600 dpi resolution. It is equipped with a Bluetooth interface so you can send your scans wirelessly to a Blackberry, Windows Mobile smart phone, laptop computer or other compatible devices. It has a 200MHz computer processor, 64MB of SD RAM and a microSD expansion slot so you can scan a page in about 4 seconds at 200 dpi.
The DocuPen X05 has a clear 2-line OLED display which provides you with information such as file names, date & time, battery and memory levels, color and mono modes, and compression levels. You can also copy a document and print it with Planon's portable PrintStick mobile printer so you can work at home or on the road. PaperPort SE software is included which is a great image editing and organizing tool for all your letters, receipts, pictures, business cards. It also integrates with your Outlook, Word, Excel and other applications making your life more efficient.

- The DocuPen Xtreme X05 also has a copy function that can send an image directly to Planon's PrintStik portable printer to help complete your "Office in a Pocket" solution.
- PaperPort SE software is included which is a great image editing and organizing tool for all your letters, receipts, pictures, and business cards. It also integrates with Outlook, Word, Excel and other applications.

I just purchased a docu Pen and discorved that the
red pen was not compatable with our Windows 7 program. I was informed however, that they were working on making the pen compatable with windows 7
I am going to try the X50 because of price.

A software for that kind of product should just work, but they failed at it. Support was slow and I'm still unable to get a consistent installation behavior on two different but similar laptops with XP. Download desn't work with PaperPort SE, need DocuDesk software to download first... awkward.
