Made in Germany and featuring a sleek matte-black body with silver details on the focus wheel and diopter dial, Minox's HG 10x43 BR Binocular delivers high-performance and comfortable handling in a compact optic. Multiple technologies work together seamlessly to produce bright and clear high-contrast images with enhanced light transmission and virtually no distortion across the entire wide-angle field of view. These image-improving technologies, added to the wide 65° field of view produce an immersive observational experience in all weather, conditions, and environments.
Starting with a aspherical lens design and using extra-low dispersion glass, Minox has virtually eliminated astigmatic and chromatic aberrations to produce tack-sharp images with true color representation. Using their proprietary M* anti-reflection multicoatings boosts light transmission to nearly 100% which increases the low-light performance and makes subjects appear brighter and clearer. The optical path passes through the compact BAK4 roof prisms. The prisms are phase corrected using the proprietary Minobright coatings which increase light reflection and correct chromatic aberrations with enhanced resolution, color rendition and contrast.
An innovative QCF (Quick Close Focus) system allows users to quickly adjust the focus from the minimum focus distance to infinity in less than one full rotation. A ranging scale on the focus wheel also aids in estimating distances to subjects. Complementing the optical performance is a housing that is designed for durability. Its magnesium housing is both lightweight and durable, and also corrosion-resistant. A slip-resistant rubber armoring provides protection from drops and impacts while giving the binocular a sure grip. The optical tubes are argon-filled and o-ring sealed to be submersible to 16', and fogproof.
