The Ikegami IPD-Q38U is a professional grade IP PTZ dome camera that uses the JPEG2000 compression method for efficient data management. Some of its advanced PTZ functions include a powerful 32x optical zoom, 360 endless pan, and a full complement of preset positions and tour settings. It also employs a Day/Night and WDR function, both of which can be manually selected, to compensate for poor and difficult lighting conditions. In B/W mode and with Sens-up 32x, the camera requires a minimum illumination of only 0.005 lux.
To conserve network and storage resources, image resolution, frame rates, and picture quality can all be individually adjusted according to a particular surveillance environment and network structure. For enhanced security, the camera features a motion detection function and alarm I/O ports. Motion detection can be programmed to ignore trees swaying in the wind, thus minimizing the occurrence of false alarms. There's also a pre and post alarm recording function to ensure that no part of an event is missed.
This camera is designed for indoor installation. An optional environmental housing (IK-W6C2X1), complete with a heater, blower and wall mount bracket, is available for those needing to install this camera in an outdoor location.
- High Quality Picture of JPEG2000
- The wavelet transformation JPEG2000 image compression format provides for high compression ratio and quality images.
- Scalable Streaming
- The scalable function, one of the JPEG2000 features, enables you to select an image's resolution and to watch the image through a general-purpose browser at each network terminal. Up to 30 frames/second can be advanced onscreen in a smooth motion, and high-precision images can be captured for data saving. In this way, the surveillance level may be scaled according to the terminal performance.
- Outdoor-Use Motion Detection
- The outdoor-use Motion Detector is designed not to erroneously detect tree leaves that sway in the wind. False alarms can thus be minimized.
- Alarm Function
- The pre-alarm function records images that have been shot before an alarm is given. A notice function enables to send massage to a designated e-mail address.
- One-Click Scope Function
- The video picture moves by clicking one point on the picture of a client PC, and the clicked point moves to the center of a picture. Zoom-in/zoom-out is controlled by way of the mouse.
- Tour Function
- The camera moves preset points one-by-one automatically as tour functions. Interval time and tour speeds are can be set up point-by-point (max. 16 tour points).
- Maintenance
- Via a network, the product software can be updated and self-diagnosed for real-time maintenance.
