The Benro A-158 Extra-Low Aluminum Center Column measures only 4.72" (120mm) and features a ridge-and-groove design to eliminate unwanted column rotation which allows lower camera positioning often required for macro and product photography. The Aluminum and corresponding Carbon fiber columns are the same size. You can use this Aluminum column on 1 Series Carbon fiber tripods and vice versa.

I just got this item and haven't been able to use it yet, but I am ready to go. The piece is solidly built and will get me to the low-down of a photograph at the right time. I am impressed with the solid build of the Benro tripod, as well as the other items I got with it, like this short column. My only question is, "How will I get up after using it?"
