The 640GB Elements Portable Hard Drive from Western Digital is a high-capacity portable hard drive with a no-frills design. The disk is housed in a compact enclosure, and boasts the ubiquitous USB 2.0 interface. The bus-powered drive can be used without the need for an external power adapter.
The drive is preformatted for use in Windows, but can be easily reformatted for use in Mac OS X systems. You won't have to load any software from a CD to get the drive to work. It is an excellent option for users who would like to add storage capacity to their system.

This item is awsome. Comes Windows Formatted, so it works right out of the box. The only way would be better than this HUGE windows jump drive would be campatable 100% with a Mac.

It's a hard drive and it works as expected. Design is small and attractive and the price was just right. Just plug and play. I got it for my girlfriend to use as travel storage and she is very happy with it. I would have bought a higher capacity one for home use.

USB Cable is aboout 15 inches. I think that is long enough. I saw some people complain about it being short. I also have a Toshiba drive that is shorter.
Light is no problem, just turn it if it bothers you.
NFTS format with no garbage software.
I recommend it.
