I love being able to have drives off my desk and make more space. My only complaint was that it was a little more time consuming to assemble then I had anticipated.
In the package there are clips of sorts, and a page lay on top of them to say which are which sizes, when you open the package be careful, the foam holding the clips in little compartments and the guide came up so I had no clue what was what.
I will the clips themselves were labeled

This looks like a great idea. I had read of some reviews by people that had used this shelf with a thunderbolt monitor and it seemed to work. I got mine from B&H. Shipping was fast, service was typically good with B&H. I got the BackPack, put the clips and the plastic pieces inside the clips and installed it on my thunderbolt monitor to discover that none of the inserts really do the job quite right. One is too tight, one is too loose, the one that should be just right is actually a little on the loose side as well. As a result, my shelf wouldn't sit level. I wanted to put my external hard drive on the BackPack but the shelf just wasn't stable enough. On top of not being level, the shelf itself would slide because you simply couldn't tighten the clamps down hard enough to hold tight. I have a cat and I know that he will try to put his weight on the shelf, so I tried putting a little (stress a little) weight on the shelf and it slid very easily down the base of my Thunderbolt monitor. If you really want something like this it's very nice looking piece of hardware. You could probably figure out a way to make it work with some shims. But for [$], I'd just rather have the thing work. If they make a version of this with plastic inserts that were specifically designed for the Thunderbolt monitor then I may give it another shot, otherwise I'll just keep my drives sitting on my desk behind the monitor.

This little shelf is very useful on the iMac. It hides my external hard drive and is more than sufficient to take the weight and more. Brackets to install are a little fidgety but you need to be patient. Took me about 10 minutes to get mine set exactly how and where I wanted them (I have 2 on my iMac) and they work great. Saves desk top space and are styled to match the Mac design.

It took a second to get it figured out (mostly because I don't read directions), but once I had the pieces on, this thing worked wonders. we keep an external drive behind the Imac for Time Machine and the Iphone's dock on top of the drive. That way, the area around our Imac looks clean. It works wonders.
