Pros:
-Amazing sound. Has clear, crisp high and solid bass that isn't too overpowering. I hear parts of songs that just got muddled with my old pair.
-Good passive sound insulation.
-Detachable cord is a GREAT idea.
-Construction appears sturdy
-Price is amazing considering sound quality.
Cons:
-Not the most comfortable pair I've worn. Presses up against my ears a bit, after a few hours it feels nice to take them off. Ears get a little hot as well.
Summary:
I don't understand how these headphones cost so little. I honestly believe they are comparable to Bose or Monster and some of the more expensive (~$200+) Sennheiser models. I was unsure about buying online without having tested them, but I'm glad I took the chance. I would recommend these to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune to get great sounding headphones.

Comments about Kicker HP541 DJ Style Headphone:
Used mainly for Bass practice, bass is clear and more than loud enough.
Comfortable and adjustable and a nice size.
Closed design is great and blocks out lots of ambient noise, not boxy sounding either.
Quality feels pretty good and based on their sound reproduction, could be much more expensive.

Bought these in September last year, and the right speaker stopped working after 5 month of computer use. Spend the extra money for something else and avoid the headache.

These headphones are the best you can get in this price range. They actually sound great and are comparable to much pricier headphones.

You cant beat these headphones. I paid nearly 200 dollars for a pair of Beats by Dre, and they broke within a month. Now I paid around 60 for these headphones, and I have to be honest, they are worth at least triple what they charge. Sound quality at high volume is so clear and crisp, bass in low and deep, just all around perfect. Plus my Beats hurt my head after wearing them for more than 10 minutes. I dont have this problem with these kicker DJ style headphones. I absolutley love them.

I basically use these headphones to listen to my ipod. They are pretty good for an hour, then they start to hurt. Also, the top lays on top of the head which hurts if you dont adjust it. After a week or so of use, the headphones start to become a bit loose, which you cant really adjust to becone tighter without hurting your head. With all of this said, I still think its worth the money because the sound makes up for the design.

The headband looks circular but it turns square-ish once worn so it makes my head looks big and bulky. Sound is good but I exchanged it for something else.

First of all, this is an amazing deal! the standard MSRP is much more. Exercise earbuds, just for running, etc., but they still did not offer great sound. Other reviews are correct that they are all plastic, and are not completely noise-isolating, but the sound is unmatched. Less bass, but the clarity is incredible, and you can just turn up to bass. And they don't even use batteries. I conpared them to many other over-ears, and none could come close for the same price.

I purchased these headphones after many hours of research. I decided to go with these headphones for 3 reasons: They have great reviews. They were very affordable and they are made by Kicker. I listen to all genres of music and these deliver in all. I read a lot of reviews from people who love a lot of bass. If that is all you want, you may not like these because these combine a perfect combo of highs, mids and bass! You will not be disappointed with these. Highly recommend

I bought these headphones due to the fact that my previous ones cord broke. When i saw that the headphone cord could be detached and replaced i was like " right on dude ". I use these headphones for DJing and jamming to my tunes in the meantime. I love the design of them and how at the top of the arch is a more flexible plastic. The sound. well the sound is awesome. There by kicker what els do you expect.

I was a little excited to get these headphones. I have been a nightclub DJ for 27 years and live and die for my headphones. I have tried many many headphones over the years. When I found these and read about them I got a little excited. With the 50mm driver and a name like Kicker, how could they possibly not be good?? I received them and instantly took them out of the box and tried them. First noticeable thing was the construction of them, real cheap plastic to the point I was afraid to set them down on a hard surface for fear they would break, only time will tell. The sound was the next thing I was curious about. I plugged them into my home receiver and took a listen, what a disappointment, I might as well have put a tin can to my ear, the sound is real tinny and bass, what bass???? Absolutely no bass. Nonetheless, I took them to the club that weekend and gave them a try, I don't know why but they are not loud at all. I could barely hear them over the crowd noise. I will use them as emergency back up and probably go back to my old headphones, twice the price, but triple the sound quality and craftsmanship.

The headphones fit very comfortably on my head, the sound is great. I've tried Beats By Dr Dre before and i think these are pretty much just as good for like a quarter of the price. Good quality product, well built and definitely worth the money. By far the best for the money.

I bought these headphones at B&H - instore price is about $20ish cheaper, [$] - to replace my Panasonic RP-HC150 noise cancelling headphones. The Kicker HP541 is quite good because of its isolation; it's nice and dense so not too much sound leaks in from the outside. My ear is a tighter fit than the HC150s, so if you have Prince Charles ears, you may want to try these on first. The bass and midrange do really well, especially on movies and video, and it really works better than the HC150s in delivering well-rounded sound across moderate volume. Since I've bought three sets of headphones over the last two months thanks to helpful protrusions snapping the cord in two, having a standard replaceable cable is a HUGE plus. It just takes a standard 1/8" male stereo plug, which you can get anywhere.-1 star because they don't have as wide a range of actual fitments and they don't fold as compactly as I would have liked otherwise.
