Getting ready to download LP's to my computer. Replaced my cartridge on a 40 year old Technics turntable.
Removed and replaced with ease. Everything worked fine. The extra parts in the kit helped with the installation.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT92ECD Turntable Cartridge for P and Half-Inch Mount:
Got this to replace a Stanton P-mount cart on a technics turntable, and wow, the difference was like night and day.
Crisp clean (but not overly bright) treble, with strong and controlled bass.
Quite possibly the best P-mount ever made by Audio Technica.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT92ECD Turntable Cartridge for P and Half-Inch Mount:
It has been a long time since my turntable has produced such quality sound, easy to install, all the tools needed were supplied and I even recieved maintenance tools, my scratchy old records have never sounded so great! I now have great pitch control because of this new cartridge.
Almost too good to be true--but it is I bought one and love it. There is nothing negative about this product, just great
Comments about Audio-Technica AT92ECD Turntable Cartridge for P and Half-Inch Mount:
I installed the AT92ECD in a Teac P-495 turntable [inexpensive], with an inexpensive pre-amp between it and my inexpensive Pioneer VSX-517 tuner/receiver. Since I did not have high quality audio equipment, I did not expect the best sound quality. But considering the equipment I teamed it up with, the sound was good.
The cartridge, tracked well and did not skip on any of my records. Several reviews I read before I bought this cartridge, indicated that this cartridge bottomed out on the records and scraped the records. That was NOT the case for me. It behaved in a normal fashion. It was very easy to install & get up & running.
My previous BIC 960 turntable with a Shure M95ED cartridge bit the dust a long time ago. So it has been many years since I have been able to listen to my record collection. I seem to remember a more alive, more vibrant sound with greater clarity with the old system, but I think that should be expected, considering that was higher quality equipment.
I am not an audiofile - so I cannot judge the quality of the sound using this Shure cartridge with any degree of expertise. But considering all the surrounding circumstances, I believe most average Joe's & Janes would be pleased with the performance of this cartridge.
