The view is astounding and the handling is superb - glassing through the EL 10x42 SwaroVision Binocular from Swarovski brings the cutting edge of optical performance to a new level. While the original EL series set the benchmark for clarity, color accuracy, and handling comfort, The EL SwaroVision binoculars raise the performance bar even higher.
The optical system has been enhanced with all of Swarovski's HD optics with their legendary performance-enhancing multilayer lens coatings. The optical path is enhanced even further with the addition of field flattener lenses. These field flatteners ensure an edge-to-edge sharpness and clarity that's free of distortion and other distractions.
Keeping pace with the optical train, the EL SV's construction also benefits from some advanced fine-tuning. The EL's open-bridge design provides viewers with long-term viewing comfort, enhanced stability, and ease of handling. The housing is covered with a rubberized finish that offers a secure tactile grip and a bit of shock resistance. Stellar all-climate performance is ensured via nitrogen purging. The rugged magnesium housing is sealed and purged to create a watertight and fogproof internal system - one that's impervious to dynamic climates and difficult conditions.
The focusing system has been upgraded as well - this optic focuses down to 4.9' and the viewer can go from infinity to minimum focus with two full rotations of the center-focus dial. A wide angle field of view and truly noteworthy eye relief contribute to this fine sporting optic's viewing performance. Even when wearing glasses, the view remains unobstructed, free from vignetting, and lush with crisp detail.

Comments about Swarovski EL 10x42 SwaroVision Binocular:
Purchased for hunting in low light conditions, but now intend to use them exclusively.
Completely thought through product and package, incredible optics, superbly made, and simply a pleasure to use.
While the travel case is a bit bulky, it is complete and affords real protection. In the field the lens covers provide particularly convenient and more than adequate protection.

Comments about Swarovski EL 10x42 SwaroVision Binocular:
This is my 2nd pair of Swarovski Binoculars. The first pair I bought was 10x50's around 15 years ago. Since I started using Swarovski I have had the opportunity to use and look through other peoples Swarovski to compare. The optical preformance on all Swarovski is great. When we compared our older 10x50's to our new 10x42 EL the new 10x42 EL same power, same field of view and optical preformance in low light was the same. However the size and weight of the new 10x42 is perfect much easier to carry and use. We purchased the second pair for a trip to Yellowstone. My wife and I would each have a pair. The 10x42 EL fit and weight was so much easier for her to pack, carry, and use. On our first trip we had to share the 10x50's even though we had other binoculars, the optical quality doesn't compare to Swaroviski. So who wants to use them? We don't have lots of time or opportunities to view wildlife. So when we book a trip and spend the money and time I want to be able to see with ease when the rare opportunity arises. There is a reason when there is wildlife to be viewed, everbody wants to use our Swarovskis. They are the best and they are worth the price.

Comments about Swarovski EL 10x42 SwaroVision Binocular:
I purchased the EL 10x42s before a recent birding trip to Ecuador. After comparing Leica and Zeiss, I settled on the Swarovskis. In addition to their edge-to-edge clarity and brightness, they fit in my hands better than the other bins. But I had difficulty choosing between the 8.5s and the 10s. I ordered the 8.5s first, but returned them for the 10s. The trade off for more power is less field of view, which was a factor in the rain forests of Ecuador, but it was the right choice for me. For my eyes, the difference in brightness between the two was negligible and the increased power improved my ability to distinguish minor details even at significant distances. I am so happy with these binoculars that I think they will be the last pair I buy fro a very long time.

Comments about Swarovski EL 10x42 SwaroVision Binocular:
After having my previous ELs stolen I recently purchased the new ELs with Swarovision. The old ELs were good but these are stunning. The image is clearer than before and sharp edge to edge, low llight performance is excellent, handling and ease of use is fantastic and most notably the increase in lens size at the eye end of the binocular is simply awesome for glasses wearers like me. The view is now complete and truly fantastic. Yes these binociulars are expensive but worth every penny and more - there simply is no comparison and I have been a bider for 30 years!
