The DigiOptical DO1850F 18-50mm T3 PL Mount Zoom Lens is a PL mount f/2.8 manual zoom lens designed for film and digital cinema production. The compact design is ideal for a variety of shooting situations. With a zoom range between 18-50mm, the lens is great for wide angle to portrait framing--and its i/ Intelligent Metadata technology and Super35 coverage make it a great option for the RED One digital cinema camera. This model comes scaled in footage markings.

- Footage scaled
- 0.8 pitch focus, iris and zoom drive gears.
- Covers up to Super35 format.
- Includes Cooke's /i Intelligent Metadata technology for transmitting metadata from the lens to the camera--useful for such cameras as the RED and Sony F35.

Tested this zoom against my Sony primes on the F3. Used sharpness and color charts and the lens compared very well.
Mechanism is smooth.
I like the size of this lens compared to other zooms available for the camera.

I have been working with this lens the last 6 months and surprise me everytime, great lens, good construction, the macro is awesome, but there is no info about the company, no more products, good price, waiting to hear more of this. Perfect for my Sony PMW-F3 , I'm not using the 35 and 50 mm sony lenses anymore, and they are great.

I just got my Digioptical a couple days ago, i purchased it to go with my Pana Ag-Af100, and I am happy with the purchase. I think the glass is decent, mechanic's could be better but otherwise a very nice lens. The great part I like about this lens as well is that it is an actual wide angel lens that you can use on you AF100. The 18mm turns into something like a 24-28mm field of view, and look is great. Solid len's, feels very sterdy.
