We use this for follow focus. It works great for its purpose. On small lenses the extra plastic can be cumbersome, but it's the price you pay for flexibility.

Bought this for DSLR rig to combo with my existing Crosziel gear incl. matte box and single sided follow focus. Well mad of course and instantly compatible with the other gear incl. DSLR baseplate and Z-finder V2 from Zacuto.
Cons are that when affixed to rubber ring on lens outer that the product loses traction and you have slippage. DOn't really want to strip all of my lenses of their focus rings. The overlap on big focus pulls becomes an issue as the tail of the product flaps/gets stuck by your rods. Very expensive for what it is.
