The Pelco PV140 RS-232/422 Converter Kit provides bidirectional electrical connectivity between RS-232 and RS-422 or RS-485 data ports. The kit lets you connect any device using an RS-232 port with any of the Pelco products such as switchers, multiplexers, keyboards, and camera control receivers that use the RS-422 or RS-485 port.
The Pelco PV140 Converter Kit comes with its own separate power supply, and therefore is able to send and receive serial port data over wire pairs up to 4000' on the RS-422 side.
