The Transcend 32GB CompactFlash Memory Card 400x UDMA takes a big step forward in memory card performance, with 32GB capacity and 400x speed, featuring up to 90MB/sec read and 60MB/sec write--perfect for professional photographers or anyone else who wants fast transfer speeds, enormous capacity and reliability in their memory card in order to take full advantage of high resolution DSLRs or HD video camcorders.
The card can capture more than 6,500 still images (with a 10 megapixel camera) or record more than 1.5 hours of full HD video (1920x1080 at 38.6Mbps). I've only had a chance put these cards into play at one wedding; which is why I can only give these cards 4 stars. If I had used these cards for 10+ weddings, and they performed equally as well as the first time, I'd easily give them 5 stars. I used the cards doubled-up in a D3 — shooting redundant data to both cards. Both cards performed flawlessly. When I shot in bursts, the buffer cleared quickly. The upload times with these 400x cards, using the Lexar FW800 CF card readers, took all of 9-minutes for a full 32GB card. Comparatively speaking, it takes 8 minutes to upload my first-gen 8GB SanDisk Extreme III cards on the same Lexar FW800 card reader. The one drawback, if you do any chimping (and I do once in a while), it takes a while for the preview to pop-up on the back of the camera. This is certainly not a deal breaker; but it definitely made me nervous, on more than one occasion, as to whether the cards were working. Yes, they were working fine. :)I probably couldn't recommend these cards if you're shooting a wedding, or any amount of high-volume work for a client if you only have one CF card slot in your camera. Partly because I feel you're putting to much faith and work on a single card, especially one that is MLC (Multi-Layer Cell). If the 400x was the more reliable SLC (Single Layer Cell), coupled with the ECC, I might feel differently. But, if you're sporting dual card slots (Like the Nikon D3 or D3s), and you can write redundant data to both cards, so your work is immediately backed up, I say, "GO FOR IT"! For [$] per card, they're very good bang for your buck. :)

I use these for shooting video on a Canon 7d and they work terrifically. They write very fast but the best part is the fast read for dumping data in the field. I have had some problems with corrupt files but haven't ruled yet which device is the actual culprit; this card, the camera, or the hard drive/card reader I use.

Currently i use this product for stills and Hd videography on my Canon 7D. The incredible speed driving by the brain of this card is exquisite. I have not in my lifetime found a better price, company or card for this price! even at its most expensive BH would be the place to buy. No hang ups of any sort that hold you back from speaking highly of this company. While plugging this card in to my card reader it automatically ejected itself from my computer. This is an issue with the card reader, (which i didn't get from BH), what are the odds. So if you ever get a card reader, get it from BH. They will never steer you wrong. Since my knowledge of these guys i have not had a single hiccup in my dealings with them!

I've been shooting weddings off and on for 2 years and I just got this card and it was perfect. You'll enjoy the space of course, but also the 60/mbps write speed. I shot in RAW + JPEG all day at my last wedding and I was extremely pleased with the performance.

Used for 2 months with Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 50D. I shoot about 30,000 images per year. Never a problem with this or older Transcend card (or other cards, to be fair). Having searched the Web, I see no reason for faster cards in my use, either for writing or reading data. Nor for ultra-durable professional cards, which would be overkill in a 5DII and 50D.
I'm amused by recommendations to use several smaller, say 8BG, cards to reduce the risk in case of card failure. Card failure is rare, and there is no obligation to fill the 32GB before switching cards. The reserve capacity of the 32 suits me well, at a reasonable cost.

As a wedding photographer, I hate having to switch out memory cards right when I need to capture that important moment. That is why I wanted a larger capacity CF card that would allow me to keep on shooting. So far this product is reliable, provides me with ample amounts of storage, and comes at a great price point.
