A while back, the 8GB 300X cards were the top of the line and costs were about equivalent as they are now to the 32GB version. I have a Canon 50D and being able to take over 1000 pictures in highest quality RAW mode without having to swap cards is fantastic... especially when you need to snap those few extra pictures in a moments notice.
Read/write speed is great, but I am eagerly waiting to try out the faster models to see the difference in speed when it comes to high-speed picture taking and transferring hundreds of pictures to my computer. Just can't justify the higher speed cards right now when these cards are fast and cost less.
I would recommend these to any photographer looking for a reliable CF card that is fast and cost effective.

Seems reasonably fast, but causes my Sony A850 to hang and consistently report a "card error" after 5-10 min of shooting. Could be poor QC, poor compatibility, or poor product design - makes no difference, buy something that works. Nothing "professional" about this product; too unreliable.

This card continues a long tradition of having Lexar cards that perform like they are supposed to, don't blow up on me and don't let me down.

I bought this card for its increased capacity and speed as well as for its relatively low price. I shoot stills. My local retailer, who wanted to charge me about twice the price for a newer slightly faster card, said that if I bought the unit online it might not be the latest product and therefore might not be compatible with my newer high end camera, A Canon EOS 5D Mk II. I did NOT find this to be the case. The card performed flawlessly. I shot in a furniture showroom endlessly for two days in camera RAW at high resolution and bracketing and barely made a dent in its capacity. I could have kept shooting at that rate all week! No problems. No complaints. No hesitation in recommending it to anyone with a need for speed and nearly endless capacity.

This product works very well with my Canon EOS Rebel XTi. The quality of the images are razor sharp. The downloads are very fast. I used this card for the first time on Christmas Eve 2010, and I took nearly 300 pictures. It's very nice to have for a family vacation.

I own a number of 8GB Lexar professional 300x cards for my Nikon DSLRs. Price to increase capacity to 32GB came well within my budget.
Performance is exactly the same as my (already fast) 8GB cards.
A great purchase for those who take a lot of RAW pictures and/or are afraid to delete originals from the card until multiple backups are made!
