The 2TB DriveStation USB 3.0 HD-HXU3 External Hard Drive from Buffalo is a high-performance external hard drive for use with Windows and Mac computer systems. The drive features the USB 3.0 interface, which is capable of transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. The drive can also be connected to systems with legacy USB 2.0 ports at 480Mbps speed.

No drivers are required to install the drive on your computer, simply plug and play. The drive's fan speed varies based on temperature, prolonging its life. Power saving features turn the drive on and off with your computer in order to save on electric costs. The Google Picasa and Memeo Instant Backup software applications are included.
