The Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box from the Aurora Lite Bank Co. is designed to increase the quality of the light from your shoe mounted flash unit. The BHB (Big Honkin Box) has a soft white interior lining that lessens the harsh effects often found with shoe mounted flash units, delivering diffused light and soft shadows. It has top and bottom windows which allow for extra light. The unit is supplied with a lock & loop strap which is used for mounting the unit to your flash.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
Fills the shadows just enough. It's not going to give you the kind of light a large soft box offers (obviously) but if you're just starting out and can't quite afford the big stuff yet, this is a GREAT tool! I think this would also be very handy for weddings.

For photographing animals and people outside. Especially useful to balance light and for taking pics of black dogs, dark horses, etc.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
I'm not a fan of flash photography, but sometimes the low light conditions really calls for additional light source. I use the Mini/Max 6.0 x 8.0 soft box for on location portraits. When I need more light this is a great way to add the extra light, it gets rid of the unwanted hot spots and gives it a really nice natural look! can't believe I went so long with out this baby!

This softbox folds up to virtually nothing, fitting in my smallest camera bag. It's great for parties and weddings, softening the flash just enough. I would definitely recommend it.

Use it on an Nikon SB800 works great for a different effect then the factory supplied softener that came with flash. Found my own way to attach to flash though with a small bungee cord rather then supplied velcro.

It is easy to mount and stores flat. If you have to shoot with the speed light on the camera this will soften the light and the shadow edges.

I mounted this over my SB-600 flash. It is easy to mount onto your flash and works well to diffuse the flash so that there isn't a bright reflected flash on faces, etc.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
I mostly use the portable soft box for outside/inside portraits. A small price to pay for something that I will use again and again. When folded, it takes up barely any space at all.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
When you think about using a Soft Box, you want to get more detail, better texture and avoid hot spots, if that's what you're looking for you'll get it with this Mini Soft Box, just be ready to shoot at a higher ISO or use a fast lens, because you will loose about 2-3/4 F Stops due to an extra non removable baffle inside the diffusing fabric material.
Word to the wise, do your homework with it before you use it on a client.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
Works great. Quality is good. Mounting can be done with Velcro-type patches attached to the flash-head or with a Velcro strip wrapped around the flash-head. The Velcro strip is nice and works better since the patches on these type of diffusers never last.
Folds flat and is lightweight.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
Great for close up flash shots. Provides for a pleasing soft light. Some what of a pain to put on the flash head. First you have to put a velcro band around the head and then try to pull back the flaps on all four sides so they do grab on to the band until you position the box down over the head.

Comments about Aurora Mini/Max 6 x 8" BHB Soft Box:
I have only used this product one time so far and it has worked as advertised. This light modifier is well thought out, and produces a nice soft light, but a little clumsy in use, especially if you need to make quick swaps to other setups.
I am a professional photographer.

I have a small camera bag that I keep a small kit in with a flash and a couple accessories, and this fits great in the outside pocket. For its size delivers good, soft light.
