The Matthews Falcon Kit Stand is a rugged, lightweight (6 lbs) light stand for studio or location work. Finished in non-reflective matte black, this 12' triple-riser stand is built and assembled using nuts and bolts, not rivets, for greater strength--load capacity is 30 lbs (14 kg). The mounting pin on the Falcon stand is a heavy-duty 5/8" (16 mm) steel double-cross pinned spigot.

Use for carrying my alienbees/whitelightnings, great height adjustment, knobs easy to lock/unlock. Build quality is awesome. Did a little research, heard the black paint might not be as durable as the chrome, not a big deal. I'm gonna have to try the matthews c-stands. What's the saying, you can never have enough stands?? I also have bought the comparable manfrotto stands which lock together, build quality of the matthews seems better, knobs easier to lock/unlock on the matthews, if i had to do it again, i'd pick matthews over manfrotto..
