Comments about Microboards G3 Disc Publisher DVD Burning and Printing System:
I recently purchased a G3 Disc Publisher with DVD Burning and Printing System to replace an older model GX-2. The older model was a little unreliable at times. I feel the unreliability was mainly due to Mac's conversion to Intel chips and the new software having just a few compatibility bug with the old hardware. The older model also took about 2 discs to warm up to print correctly, so when it finally died out I was happy to replace it. However, the updated G3 works much better. The ink prints very well. It is much quieter. I also like the new design. This one fits on a desk where the old one hung off our old desk. Also, the application to print is SUPER easy to use. Almost dummy proof. I do not like the rejected discs go out the back. 1. I like to place it up against the wall. 2. The old one rejected to a nice hidden tray. When you install to Mac. FOLLOW THE ORDER OF INSTALLATION TO THE LETTER! I had to reinstall everything because, well... I'm a stubborn male who thinks he knows everything. The CDs they give you with it are nice, but your going to use all them calibrating the printer area, so just expect they are all going to the garbage unless you guess well. Finally the printer makes this odd click when it first connects to the ink cartriage. It works fine, but it just doesn't sound right. However, for my purposes this printer does the job just fine. I would recommend it. Just be ready, like all printers I have ever owned it will reveal its problems in time.

Previously I had a separate printer and tower duplicator. This saves me SO much time because I don't have to babysit the printer. It just does it's work while I do mine.
