PitchCraft from Bias is a plug-in that corrects pitch problems in vocal or instrumental recordings. Using a high-quality algorithm, the software performs accurate pitch correction while formant correction retains the source's original "sound".
The plug-in can also be used as a sound design tool - for effects such as disguising a voice, changing an adult's voice into that of a child, "gender transformation" and a wealth of other creative possibilities. PitchCraft also can be used for "exaggerated" vocal correction effects.
The plug-in includes Audio Units, RTAS/AudioSuite and VST formats, and can be used within most popular professional audio editing hosts on Mac and Windows systems - such as Peak, Digital Performer, GarageBand, Live, Logic, Premiere, Pro Tools, Sonar, Sound Forge and many others.
- Correct and/or change pitch in monophonic vocal or instrumental recordings
- Create pitch-based special effects
- Voice disguise
- Pitch range menu selects the desired pitch range to use in the pitch correction/transposition process
- Formant transposition slider adjusts the formant value, or "cavity size" of the source to help to maintain natural sounding pitch change effects
- The formant control can also be used to transform a vocal from one gender or age to the next, or create other special effects
- Pitch correction Custom Scale controls can be defined using the included virtual keyboard, a MIDI keyboard, and the Ignore Note checkboxes
- A/B/C/D "Snapshots" provide up to 4 temporary memory "snapshots" for quickly comparing different settings
