Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Touchsmart tm2-1070us 12.1" Tablet Notebook Computer:
Laptop gets very hot. Hard disk failed after 2 months.
HP service terrible. 3 weeks of daily phone calls all over an hour long (5p per min). Getting passed between HP agents who couldn't or wouldn't help (record of 8 in one call). Eventually threats of legal action and support from trading standards resulted in laptop being returned for full refund. Not the answer I was looking for. Will never buy HP again!

Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Touchsmart tm2-1070us 12.1" Tablet Notebook Computer:
I use my laptop every day for everything from Facebook to Photoshop. This laptop is awesome. It is a great size and weight. The touchscreen is much better then expected! It is responsive, works great with the pen and my fingers. Makes surfing and certain tasks VERY EASY! I think the nicest thing is that the keyboard is there if you find yourself typing a lot. (on the Ipads and Androids there is rarely a keyboard, just an annoying screen keyboard)
The battery is fantastic! One day at work, running powerpoint and WiFi it lasted more then 5 hours before it needed to be plugged in. Even then it wasn't totally dead.
One issue with the fan, but a VERY EASY bios update, and the problem is gone.

Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Touchsmart tm2-1070us 12.1" Tablet Notebook Computer:
I am a teacher and I bought the HP Touch smart to use with the projector in my classroom. I can pull up documents, mark them up, change them and move text around all while I am walking around the room with my PC. Not to mention, I can pull up web pages, and toggle between different pages. It really is a great tool to use in the classroom! Every teacher should have one.

Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Touchsmart tm2-1070us 12.1" Tablet Notebook Computer:
The only real downfall to the laptop is that it shuts down when I leave it in sleep and gives the errror 90D for a problem with the cooling fan. I just have to restart it and no other problems though. I love the tablet for taking notes in class. It is great for work and my 4 year old daughter loves that she can play her games and draw on it. All around this is the best computer I have ever had. I love it!!!

Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Touchsmart tm2-1070us 12.1" Tablet Notebook Computer:
AS a devoted Apple user I hesitated quite a while to make the jump to the world of Windows. My friends told me that the version 7 is rapid and stable. But not to forget virus protection. The reviews of this little machine were positive so there. [...]I got the machine out of the box and up and running. I managed to make the Windows repair disk and download Firefox and Thunderbird. The impression was very, very positive. The keyboard has a feeling of quality and is very responsive. The touch screen again is very intuitive to a person who already has had an Apple Newton and an iPhone.Poking the screen, dragging and twitching objects changes the feel of computer use totally. HP has got it right. Despite the little time lag the touch screen works as you feel it should.I was very very happy. Then I started making the rescue disks for the HP system. Instead of letting me prepare a disk image the machine gave me an alert that the device was busy. Then another one that I had removed a device. The everything froze and the machine refused to restart. I had not removed any devices.I contacted the HP service and they promised to send me the rescue disks. After one reminder they have been shipped. I am waiting. Two weeks, the new machine dark and useless.I hope that it is just a software problem because I live currently in a far away country and sending things to the US back and forth for guarantee repairs costs about 40% of the price of the new machine. My experience is mixed. A lovely machine BUT...
