Bought this as a primary battery for a camcorder that came with a "nothing of a battery". This battery is a definite need if you're filming anything longer than 30 minutes. The reason I rated it as a 3 is because it's VERY expensive and I feel it's a ploy by JVC in order to compensate for a budget camcorder. The JVC accessories all seem to be 1/3-1/2 the cost of the actual camera and I feel it's dispictable(sp)! The buying experience from B&H was GREAT though.

The battery will not stay charged continuously for 2.5 hours as advertised. It's a disappointment in that respect, but, I guess one gets what one pays for.

Comments about JVC BN-VG121 Data Battery (3.6V, 2100mAh):
This is the battery the JVC devices should ship with, but is too expensive because there are no 3rd party replacements. Eventually someone will reverse engineer the battery protocol like was done with Sony

Comments about JVC BN-VG121 Data Battery (3.6V, 2100mAh):
This was a great purchase since I previously got a knock off battery that didn't work. It was the real JVC battery and fit perfectly into my charger and video camera. I used it for back up and it held the charge even when I didn't use for a couple of days. It made my vacation easier to enjoy knowing I wouldn't miss photo/video ops due to to dead camera.

Comments about JVC BN-VG121 Data Battery (3.6V, 2100mAh):
Not much to say about this purchase,it was a no brainer. Works just as well as the JVC stock battery I have, but at a fraction of the cost. I can get a good 60mins of film time out of this battery before having to switch it out for the stock battery, and thats with shutting the camera off and on numerous times.

I am using this camcorder battery on a JVC Camcorder. It delivers everything that the description promises. Battery Life is about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Comments about JVC BN-VG121 Data Battery (3.6V, 2100mAh):
We use our camera for filming surfing. The original factory battery would film for 1-2 hours tops. This battery at least doubles the time for filming and we are now using our original for back-up should the filming go long.

Comments about JVC BN-VG121 Data Battery (3.6V, 2100mAh):
I used the battery the first time December 4th. I taped my great nephews solo in the church Christmas special. It fit right into the Everio camcorder and worked like a charm. It was nice not having to worry about the battery running down before it was over (since it has over 3 hours of recording time). The battery that came with my camcorder would only last around 30 minutes.
